A part of me misses the days when bandwidth and hard drive space were [more of] an issue, and programmers were forced to try and make things as efficient as possible.
That aside though, the Native Americans are one of countless groups in the past who got thrown off of land by another force. It's happened so many times over throughout history that I fail to even see why so much special attention is attributed there
Same reason we talk about the American Revolution, Civil War, and War of 1812. There have been countless wars through out the history of mankind, butthose ones happened here (America).
This makes me wonder if there are more accidents because of cellphones.
Sure, Cellphones do cause accidents. But probably with people who are already bad drivers. That being said, someone that allows themselves to be so distracted by a cellphone that they cannot focus enough on driving is probably going to focus on something else besides driving if you take the cellphone away.
How many people eat and drive? How many people put on make-up? How many people turn around to look/talk to people in the back seat?
Bad drivers are going to be bad drivers.
It is possible to talk on a cellphone and pay attention to the road.
In 5 min, I have not found the information citing the 65 to 75 change. BUt I did come across an interesting write up about Montana having no speed limit vs. a speed limit.
All of that drama could be avoided if you just said "hold on a sec, I'm merging" and then ignore anything that come safter that until your done then come back and say, "Sorry, I was merging"
Market share will never come into the equation, it will always be the ease of making the virus.
Your absolute shows a lack of thoguht into the situation that is common in America (I am assuming that you're and American, me too).
Both "Market Share" and "Ease of Making the Virus" are reasons viruses get created. Both are factors into the equation, along with others I am sure. To say anything "will never come into the equation" is very short sighted and flat out wrong.
So a man who was never suppose to walk again because of an accident pushing through his disability and learning to walk again did nothing heroic because walking is "ordinary"?
And just like you still get whatever you want on Cable TV and Satalite Radio, you can get whatever you want on the Internet that you get from the ISP you pay for.
Look at television. Everyone has "Free" TV, but the vast majority pay for Cable/Satalite TV. The internet would be the same. The bandwidth of the free system would be piss poor when compared to what you get if you paid.
Everyone get's freedom of speech, they can talk all they want.
If only the rich are able to pay for unfiltered internet instead of using free filtered internet, then you must conclude that only the rich have internet now.
So, using your absurd logic, I'll ask you why you are against poor people having access to the internet in the first place?

As the average connection speed has gotten faster, the average webpage has gotten more and more bloated to use up that faster connection.
Now, if they only worked that hard at a real job.
Whiel a system liek that would work to an extent. It really just creates a market for a middle man who will buy the copper off of the junkies.
Some of us like quips
You're not the only one

Why would you ever pick up the phone to say that? If you are not going ot talk to the person, let them get the voice mail.

I still say you are incorrect. Having ~90% Marketshare will always have some effect.
Not being a "meaningful part of the equation" does not mean that "Market share will never come into the equation" as you previously stated.
What a wonderfully well thought out and educated response.

Turning his life around from a drug smuggling rapist into a productive member of society seems like it could qualify as heroic.
So in 4 years a new computer will be able to play a 5 year old game?

As liquidpele mentioned, a Socialized Healthcare system is not going to remove the problems you lsited:
-incompetent hospital staff
-doctors refuse to live and work in the area on a permanent basis
-a ten minute appointment taking four hours
"Socializing this system will simplify it. There's no denying that."
No, it should simplify the system. There is no guarantee that it will do so effectivly.
"Sounds pretty close to free to me."
close only counts in horseshoes, hand grenades, and dancing.
Everyone get's freedom of speech, they can talk all they want.

But that invovled people actually doing something. It is much easier for them to sit back and complain about other people/Government.
That is pretty much their goal. But, that's fine as long as you still have the option to purchase unfiltered internet from the current ISPs.
Filtered Internet is better then no internet for a lot of people.
