One thing I've noticed a lot lately on Slashdot is the use of acronyms that, unless you're involved in the issues at hand, are a complete mystery. Can someone please elaborate on what a TLD is?
Growing up in the 70's, Mad was a big part of my childhood and adolescence. Many of the funny little quirks in my personality were my own adoptions of what I read in that magazine and converted to my own sense of humor. The one Don Martin cartoon that stands out in my mind and will always live with me was one where a guy is standing in front of his bathroom mirror in shorts and a wife-beater. Second panel he notices and plucks a hair out of his right shoulder. Third panel -- his arm drops off with a *Schlork!!* The thing that makes it live with me is I have a similar hair on my right arm and always avoided plucking it for fear of losing my arm.
