As far as I am concerned, and it should be even more so for real prodigies like him, there is far more depth and entertainment in the mysteries of the universe then a few chemicals dancing around in your brain triggered by some animal instinct.
"How do you fit him into the American school system?"
And by American school system you mean High School? I am not sure how that could even be considered at this point. Like if for some weird reason you wanted him to have his high school diploma then just have him take some equivalency test and study on his own or with some specialized help in any of the subjects that he is not at super genius level at.
But at this point it seems more like a next step would be to start in a masters program for physics or similar at some major university.
But there is one thing that I can guaranty you, and that is that there is not a single teacher in the entire school system that is likely to be any help in teaching him in even subjects that he is not good at and the difference in intelligence will likely make any interaction with his peers impossible and fulfilling if it does occur.
Agree with you 100%, I personally do know know if I should hate him for his closed approach or like him for being one of the first people to see the usefulness of personal computers.
But the one thing I do know is that it is ridiculous and insulting to actual inventors to say that he single handedly invented the iPod/pad/phone and the modern GUI and the mouse and that random people who would not recognize him if he sat next to them on the bus should break out in tears at the news of his death.
Hmm, poverty stricken areas don't have a few hundred bucks a year? We have no idea how much this costs and the poster's estimates seems to disagree with themselves. Also, what do you mean money redistribution? Obviously money is getting redistributed form the dumb and inactive to the smart active students, even if it is only in a small amount. Or are you talking about how some money must be coming from outside the school district district to pay for this? Well I doubt that this is 1% of the school's expenses but sure that is the entire point of government programs... I suppose you want Policemen to ask for money from all people they pass on patrol, because these are the only people they are helping at the moment and children who cannot afford some arbitrary amount to lose the right to go to school?
Other people being unloyal or just generally crappy does not give you the right to do so. If you think that the company deserves loyalty, and you are the only one who can know this because this is a specific case, then you have to give that consideration and no one can really help you with the question because we do not work at this company and we do not necessarily have the same appreciation of lack there of of moral behaviour as you do.
"Loyalty is a consideration - but first comes paying the bills."
He is not starving to death. That is like a Christian saying that charity starts at home (when charity is supposed to be major tenant of their faith).
If loyalty is important then you cannot put it above and beyond everything in your life, say what you mean which is obviously: "loyalty is all well and good, as long as it does not inconvenience you in the slightest"
I have never owned any of his products and probably never will, they are all stupidly closed. Also if any of the documentaries I have watched about him are right he just stole ideas from his betters and used the actually talented people he knew (Steve Wozniak) to accomplish the rest.
You're right, you could have the equivalent of Rick Perry saying that the science of evolution makes him look like a illiterate dick (and it even does) and therefore they must remove it.
built around one product that they also offer a few basically unimportant, buy anywhere, accessories.
sounds pretty ridiculous to me. What is their slogan, "Come to the Chromezone where the only choose you will have to make is how many of our single product to buy"
Well tedium can be good. All FF games have grinding and grinding is not necessarily bad. Grinding makes a game more realistic, you don't just go form ordinary Joe to god slayer after slaying two wild boars in RL and you don't in JRPGs either.
But switching from the specific to the general. "They were good for the time, but I see a consistent pattern of people getting older and rejecting anything new while glorifying the past." Well a lot of that is due to new games getting made worse then games used to be. This guy explains it far more convincingly then I could (http://www.exigentduality.com/index.php?post=1010)
Nothing makes my generation particularly special, I am simply giving my opinion on a game series. The latest entries are crap compared to the first bunch, this is my opinion and the opinion of most other game journalists (btw I am a amateur gaming journalist and gaming magazine editor), who incidentally span many ages and generations. I do have a opinion of games getting better or worst in general over the years, but that has nothing to do with FF6 being better then FF 14.
I do not see how your argument makes sense, it seems taking your logic If I had said the opposite then I would be stupid kid who thinks nothing old is worth trying or good at all compared to our current creations. But in reality there are people who can, at least moderately well, tell the quality of a item and say without much bias that The Shawshank Redemption is better then The Hangover Part II, Robinson Crusoe is still worth reading, or that FF3 is one of the best RPGs of all time and Square Enix itself admits that FF14 is shit.
One person playing a game and disliking it is not enough evidence to overturn whole committees of experts oppinions. You did not like it, that is fine. But it does not change my opinion.
I disagree, they are classics and therefore still amazing to this day, and continue to show up on best games of all time lists. You don't need nostalgia to play them today and enjoy them more then most new games.
Well as far as I know all Cancers can be be defeated (even if the solution initially evades us). And if medical professionals are on the news telling me that they are a few trials away from significantly hampering Cancers death grip on on so many people then why would I believe them any less then a different group saying the same thing about their AIDS cure. And who said all viruses can be defeated. I highly doubt that anyone has ever proven, or even provided good evident for, that being a fact?
I am surprised this is modded funny, it is ridiculous actually. Condoms are only like 97% effective, so while they reduce the chance you are still even likely to get a disease if you constantly have sex with a carrier. It is up to the individual but unless you have quite a lot of evidence that someone is not a infected with a disease when you have sex with them even if you use a condom you are taking a chance.
I agree, and to me anyways it sounds even more like a potential cure then a preventative measure. But I have heard of lots of miracle drugs going to even human trials, drugs that show huge success in labs (it does not mean that it will actually turn out to have significant real world effect).
I am not sure about the recent part, there have always been miracle cancer cures just around the corner for as long as I have been old enough to read the news. This is promising, but wake me up when they actually cure/prevent the disease in a person with this.
And what does curing diseases have to do with cyborg augmentations?
Well unless I am mistaken the smart meter does not know what outlet you are plunged into, as the breaker is the only thing that knows that and that is normally inside and owned by the building owner.
And multiple things running at the same time for the most part is useless as everyone always has multiple things running at the same time. the basic idea here is that most things have a ~ constant voltage while a TV varies a lot and it is the change in voltage that matters and corresponds to a particular show. And yes you have lights turning on a off, heaters and coolers doing the same, ovens heating up and then just maintain temp but thoes are all big jumps that last for at least minutes, TVs very at every frame.
As far as I am concerned, and it should be even more so for real prodigies like him, there is far more depth and entertainment in the mysteries of the universe then a few chemicals dancing around in your brain triggered by some animal instinct.
But it is not just pushing him to be he best, if he can do 3th year university physics then he will be extremely bored in high school.
"How do you fit him into the American school system?"

Why waste his time with girls?
The kid is obviously a genius and if anything you should keep him away from a potentially huge distraction.
Agree with you 100%, I personally do know know if I should hate him for his closed approach or like him for being one of the first people to see the usefulness of personal computers.

You do realize it that when you spend money it is not incinerated right?
If the EU spends 1 billion or 100 billion they do not have 1 billion less, it is just redistributed differently.

I love 8, and 12 is fantastic as well; But I am not sure if either of them are quite classics.
Nothing makes my generation particularly special, I am simply giving my opinion on a game series.

Non-believers and animals are often not considered as supposed to belong to that non murder-able group.
I disagree, they are classics and therefore still amazing to this day, and continue to show up on best games of all time lists.

I disagree, FF 1 thru 7 and still classics, it is when they changed and "innovated" that they went downhill.

Well I know /. had a article just a month or two ago about closing down .net or one of there other developer things.
