No it was not. It was an experiment, they might of had some idea of what they thought was going to happen, but the entire point was to try and see.
They were hoping that something would happen, but the more unexpected and interesting the result the better, really.
Nothing was done to him that has not been done and worse to people caught with a few joints in their pockets.
Almost 1% of americans go to prison, the vast majority for minor non-violent crimes. They are not only threatened with decades in the can, but actually do not have anyone willing to stand behind them and fight it, and did not stand 1/100th the chance that he did.
non-profit is nothing but an advertising term anymore.
If you run a for-profit corporation. Your corporation makes money which it spends to expand and invest and to pay salaries, and you might go home with a million dollar salary.

Which does not mean that JSTOR is bad itself.

He has stood up for what he believes in, that people who commit suicide are cowards.
Or how about even the energy required to gather and use that energy? One barrel of oil costs a non-insignificant amount of energy to extract from the ground, and a non-insignificant amount to transport, and a non-insignificant amount to convert into electricity. Electricity that is then efficiently converted into work and results.
Yes it costs X amount of energy to smelt the steel and weld it together, let alone light the factories and transport the materials and mine the ore (feed the workers?), but all of that is probably only happening at about a 10% efficiency.
A psychological experiment cannot be called innocuous before the results are in.
Who knows, maybe a extremely depressed person is 20 times more likely to commit suicide if they see that the world is 100% perfectly happy and positive.
How does that make any sense?
I am selling a counterfeit item, of course I am selling it at below retail as there is risk involved for the client, and they must pay with cash as well.
That does not mean that the retail price is too high, anymore than someone picking a twenty dollar bill up off the floor has twenty dollars too little in their bank account.
Well the moral implications are sort of dwarfed by the legal ones.
Is makes no sense to say that a government agency can just internally decide to succeed from the government and take all personnel and equipment with it. That would be like saying it would be perfectly legal for the military to privatise itself and then decide that China would pay better.
Great point, I had not thought of that.
But it still does not differentiate between 95% of the calories being from meat or 5% being from meat in some average Neanderthal diet.
I think it is more like.
If, after going through space flight qualification screening, you still have a heart attack, some very serious shit must be going down. If you are at that pinnacle of health, it would pretty much require a shock to your heart to throw it off its rhythm.
Or
Finite Chance = x% chance of happening for any instant as x approaches 100. So it is not guaranty given infinity, but for most intents and purposes it is a 100% chance?
Infinite Chance = x% chance of...... as x approaches 0. Basically never happens, but give infinity it is a possibility.
Will Happen? So take any two point in time, no matter how short apart, and it WILL happen in between these points? So "finite chance" means that it is constantly happening?

His life was never ruined by the prosecutors. His life was ruined by his poor decision to kill himself.
Because it was none of their business?
Can I spend bitcoin? Trade for goods with gold?

If Wikimedia Commons works anything like Wikipedia, it will probably all be deleted in a week as "not important enough".

I know in Canada any tiny percent native american is enough for status. Any idea what percentage you need for the minority tag?
So basically everyone who is not an Asian?
I will just leave this here.

But they have not slashed anything. Everything is the same, except that SWAT is trying to use a loophole to avoid accountability and oversight.

Not sure how much one sample can tell us about the diet of an entire species.

What is a finite chance?
For that matter, what is an infinite chance?
OK a lot of the characters disappeared when that was posted. It should look something closer to "Huanyíng zhongguó bàzhu!"
I think you mean: (Hunyíng zhngguó bàzh!)
