One questions such apparent insanity upon our behalf, as to why we offer up such resistance to Palestinian progressives. Here we have a golden opportunity to support peaceful elements in the Palestinians who wish to just peacefully exist, and hold them accountable for their groups like Hamas. Hamas can thus be isolated with world pressure, as they run counter to the established, supported leadership which has Statehood. It's a golden opportunity for real progress in the region, but instead, we are adamant obstructionists. One has to ponder the motives of such actions.

First thing to question is why the seemingly blind and fanatical support of Israel when they have been countless found the aggressors and violating human rights. The history of creation of Israel as a state has plenty of bloodshed and corruption surrounding it. There is a displaced people involved. Let me elaborate on that in a compare and contrast situation if I may.

Ponder if you may if the UN decided that Mexico was cheated out of their land that we have, such as Texas and California. They in turn with a major superpower that dwarfed us, decided to force us out of said States and give them back to Mexico. The people that built homes, businesses, everything there, were force-ably removed. Imagine if there were incidents of massacres and murder, and brute squads harshly enforcing this decree. Could you imagine the anger that we would harbor? Some would fight, but they would be crushed. And if Canada tried to come to our rescue they would be defeated and pushed back until their lands were threatened.

This is akin to what has happened to Palestine, and I use this metaphor to try to give human understanding to their mentality and their condition. Now understand that we are the super power that has backed them with weapons and money constantly for decades to allow Israel this position. Now factor how we have been allowing Israel to continue to treat the Palestinians. We have in this country a mindset that these Palestinians are animals, and deserving of being slaughtered. This isn't a logical mindset, but we have been fed it for decades.

Consider now our actions as these Palestinians seek to regain Statehood, and to be recognized on the world stage instead of a displaced people. There are "reservations" set aside for them, but like we have done in the past to our American Natives, these lands are seen to be something to be gained by the Israelis. They just move in and start building, and if the Palestinians don't like it, they have to look down the barrel of American made tanks.

Of course there is a violent and resistive element to this whole process. If it was us, we would be just as violent if not more. But there are peaceful elements that are trying to just survive and live decent normal lives. These have a hard time gaining power in the Palestinian ranks because the people of course feel deeply wronged and the violent elements are very strong and frightening.

What we are missing here is the opportunity to prop up these peaceful elements as the whole of humanity, and disarming the situation between these two warring factions. This can be done by out powering the violent elements with outside support from the world. But there are problems, and not only with the violent elements of the Palestinians. Israel has "hawks" in power at the moment, old warhorses that hold a grudge, and thrive on the US/Israel war machine. Israel is aggressive with settlements into Palestinian "reservations".

Now this is where it gets weird. You would think that we would be trying to iron out peace and capitalizing on this opportunity. But we aren't. We are obstructing it at every phase and we are losing massive political capital in the process. It appears that we have an irrational, blind, fanatical support of Israel, turning a blind eye to whatever shenanigans that it perpetrates. This doesn't go unnoticed in the entire Middle East region and is part of how we fail diplomatically across the board there. Now the question one needs to ask

Being that these are drug cartel people and not rocket scientists, this means they are probably exposed to the same technology holes in security that the rest of us are. These guys aren't Sony, and Sony got their ass handed to them in the tech security department. I doubt these cartels even have an "IT security" afterthought, let alone a department.

Unless they are operating with military grade encryption with everyone in their operation, they are just as vulnerable as the next organization. When you operate in such a high risk environment, even "script kiddies" can dig up dirt on you that can prove lethal. It could be a crumb of information that can put the "blood hounds" on your trail. Most people have no clue what an intelligence operation can come up with out of just the right tiny little morsel of information. Imagine handing them a platter of information?

Not to mention, these cartels have attracted the attention of people who can effectively send them back to the stone age of technology use. Meaning if they want to their operations to be secure, they will have to go back to basic "pen and paper" days. Until they can get their entire staff of thugs trained on proper security protocols and equipped right, they are setting ducks to intelligence operations that have them in their sights. Now American Government Intel Operations aren't the thing to worry about, because they can't release what they know to your competitors. But a rogue intelligence operation can, and by all means will if you don't pay the piper.

They seem to just want their friend or friends back. This is a cheap price to pay and should be capitalized on. Of course they will not. This is where you take finely honed soldiers fresh from the combat zone, and start up some "private Black Ops". The combination of possibilities one can play here are limitless. You can make quick fast scores to finance bigger operations. Dig in, set up intel operations until you map out the players. Then it's a matter of figuring out the most elegant and effective low footprint means of eliminating them. Of course you capture their cache of money, dope, weapons, etc, but more importantly, you establish your own replacement system. You grease the right palms, don't abuse the locals, and bring everything back down under the radar, out of the news and everything becomes a ghost.

Too much attention has been brought to this region, and it's really bad for "the trade". It's sloppy management, as everything is a "management problem" if there is a problem. This is low hanging fruit for young mercenaries home from the dried up tit called Iraq. Any "mercenary operations brain" will recognize this as a golden opportunity. I don't think it's a matter if it will happen, but a matter of who will get the prize.

Personally, if I were conducting these ops, I would eliminate the meth production there and keep it eliminated. Frankly, it's rat poison for people, and America has been dosed enough with it. You would even put the squeeze on and shut down the sex slave traffic. Just focus on making money with weed. It's a cash crop that will make everyone more than enough money, giving you enough muscle in the region to keep things civilized. To make it really easy, you get the locals to farm it for you, and give them a taste of the pie. This keeps them at home, and from swarming across the border. It's a win/win/win situation except for assholes.

Of course this is very illegal and full of wet work, and it has to be done intelligently. Which makes it perfect for Americans. Well, the right kind of Americans that is. Those two acts, one of of declaring money speech and removing all limits to corporate spending to lobbying, are blatant acts of treason against the State. Our founding fathers are spinning in their graves like gyroscopes on that. Hasn't it been said, that once the law becomes unlawful, the people themselves will become a law of their own? Or something like that?

Effectively with the SCOTUS declaring this, has effectively removed all voice from the people in their government. Only the corporations will be served, and our country as we known it has been rendered extinct. You no longer have representation, because those elected will serve those who can dump mountains of cash in their pockets. Because it's free speech and corporations are free to speak because they are people.

Wow, that is so fucked in the head it's surreal. If you look at the history of corporations, you will see how they were only allowed with control, but they have been struggling to gain more and more power until at last they have it all. Sweet Jesus, we are seriously fucked. Someone tell the OWS people to pack it in and go home, the SCOTUS has sold us out, we can't change the laws now even if we wanted to.

Lets consider this big shit sandwich for a second before we all have to take a bite. Corporations are multinational entities. This means that we now have unknown foreign entities with unlimited influence upon our State. Do you think we will now have a prayer of stopping our labor/industry from being exported to whatever third world country that works for next to nothing? Nope, so give a big kiss and a wave goodbye to American jobs. Without American jobs, the 99% become quickly vagrants, no home, no vote.

This is now the land of the corporations. They will thin the herd. They don't need us any more. They are setting on their money, just waiting for us to starve out, die off, while their political lackeys will cut off any help to the bottom end. They will then proceed to shove everyone not in their service down through the meat grinder, no safety nets, just whirling blades of homelessness, no medical, no food, no voice. Say hello to the American Gulags, the concentration camps, and if you are lucky prison. If you are extra special, you can have the treat to serve in their jackbooted enforcement corps or as a thug putting their thumbscrews on the last of the free world.

The sad thing is, we deserve it. We have been stupid enough to just let them get by with creeping up on us. We watch "sports" when we should be watching these criminals against humanity and beating their asses down when they stick they heads out of whatever hole from Hell they crawl out of. We have fucked around with our own indulgences, while our slavery chains have been forged loudly right on our hands and feet. Forget "Bread and Circuses", we are mesmerized by Hollywood, fast food, cable TV, all the indulgences of the Internet. We have been reduced to gutless, spineless cowards who will just bow down and take whatever our Overlords decide for us.

Watch now as these foolish protestors who are a decade too late, are made examples of. They will be crushed, and you will set on your fat asses and make excuses for those who destroy them or why "you can't get involved". That sickly feeling you will experience in your gut, that is the soul of your once great nation dying, and the shame will be overbearing. How ironic! The great American, taken down, not with an epic fight or struggle, but handed over by a bunch of simpering, ignorant pussies, not worthy of being the descendents of the forefathers who bled and sacrificed, only so that their heirs could just piss their freedoms away.

    R.I.P America

You deserved going out a more glorious and dignified way.

It's slash and burn capitalism. It's not about industrialism or anything resembling long term thinking. I think you hit the nail on the head. What are we building or producing anymore? I think it's all "creative financing", shuffling paperwork around. It doesn't help when we have trade policies that cut our own throats, leaving a back door for corporations to outsource everything from labor to call centers overseas. Our people need jobs, and if they don't have them, they can't buy our products or services. We can't survive as a nation if we don't have government thinking like one. They all pander to this "Vegas Wall Street" and we are sinking fast.

I would agree with you, but I live in the ass end of the universe. I live in a dark corner of a State in the middle of "fly over land", I am sure natives living in huts on the Serengeti have more cell carrier selection than we do. We have two carriers to pick from, Bad and Worse and Verizon is the better deal.
