It is always a good idea to praise your neighbor when that neighbor is low on oil and high on nuclear weapons while you are high on oil but low on nuclear weapons.
Why? So, one neighbor can completely destroy the other neighbor 100 times over while the other neighbor can do it 1000 times over?

It would be nice to see MS get it to work on Linux and open it up, but then again it'd also be nice to see pigs fly and myself win the lotto. I won't hold my breath.

Many companies are doing this now so they can fire you at a whim no matter how long you've been with the company, and you can't sue them for wrongful termination since it'll state in the contract you made with them that either you or them can terminate the contract without notice.
True, but is also necessary for the company to indicate him as the inventor when filing for the patent, so at the very least he can put it on his resume.
Got one thought on the final comment, as someone who has both a Wife and a Son. Don't threaten to quit unless you can afford to lose your job, otherwise it doesn't matter if you did it on principle, as you cannot feed principle to your Wife and Son for dinner. Unfortunately, sometimes in the real world you have to make the wrong decision for the right reasons, such as putting food on the table. Not saying to do something morally wrong to feed your family, but I would hardly call it noble to sacrifice your earnings over a principled dispute.

I still have the original Wolf game (on a PC mind you, not an 8-bit console) sitting on a floppy and on a floppy backup folder on my xp machine, though sadly the xp machine is disabled at the moment (got it narrowed down to a bad memory chip or the mainboard is kaput, but as I play way too many games on my new gaming laptop, I don't have the time to find out at the moment). And yes, it's the overhead 2D version, not the DoomClone (or rather, should I say that Doom is the WolfClone).

People in the US think police are brutal here, but in Europe, especially Central Europe, there is really no such thing as Police Brutality, in that they will pretty much do what they want if they want you to comply.
I could imagine a new comedy show where they take common British Cops (not the armed variety) and put them in East Los Angelos. Think The Shield meets Reno 911 meets Hot Fuzz, except the funny british actor more matches the ignorant, naive partner than the hot shot SWAT officer.
One problem though. The British officer wouldn't make it past episode 2.

Neither of you was likely at the scene, so I doubt either of you REALLY knows what happened, all that we can infer on is what the media tells us about it and what's in the docket for the legal proceedings on said incident. All easily controlled by the government to either extreme.
3. The idea that he ran in response to the presence of the police is absurd because the police who were tailing him were in plain clothes. He had no idea what was going on until they entered the carriage and murdered him. I challenge you to prove otherwise.
So I'm guessing you are aware of his frame of mind and thought process, due to some sort of advanced alien technology that was given to you during the night by Darth Vader, right?
