Apple can't have its cake and eat it too. If they want to make ads that imply that their stuff just works, and the competition's product is full of problems, then when it doesn't just work, they also have to live with the extra negative publicity that will result. I'm glad I opted not to get an iPhone (was tempted) but my wife convinced me to stick with my Q, which isn't as neato but otherwise has been a dependable phone.
Actually we have the age limit because a 12 year old girl has a size to strength ratio that is superior to that of a 16 year old girl. If you saw those Chinese girls you'd know what I am talking about. Compare the bodies of Shawn Johnson or Alicia Sacramone to He Kexin or Yang Yilin. There is no comparison.
The IOC is full of a bunch of impotent morons. Nothing will happen and the Gold medals will stand. Which is unfortunate because it doesn't take a doctor to look at these little girls and know that they are not 15 or 16. Heck, I think it's even a stretch to think that some of them are even 14.
Well, obviously, the common sense field (or CSF as I will from now on refer to it as) is made of dark matter, and therefore it is very rare indeed. It's never been seen in nature, in fact, although occasionally it has been observed in laboratories, but usually collapses on itself within nanoseconds.
(excuse me answering my own question - I read some more of the article hehe)
"I am curious as to the mechanism by which they spontaneously combust"
Article says "Their batteries were short-circuiting and bursting into flame when microscopic metal particles came into contact with other parts"... so there we have it.
That's what they want you to think. The reality of the matter is that the reality distortion field, colliding with the common sense field, caused a tachyon burst that, coupled with remodulation, opened up a micro wormhole that resulted in the explosion. Oh wait, this isn't the writers meeting for the proposed new Star Trek series? Sorry, moving along.
That's such a tiny percentage of the people from whom I took money.
How do you expect a judge to listen to you when you don't speak correctly!? Silly...:)
As bad as our education system is, do you expect that judge to necessarily notice the bad grammar that you mentioned? Oh wait, let me rephrase that in a way that our grammatically weak overlords will understand: Do you think judges will notice, our not good speakin'!
Considering that the constitution provides that he shouldn't be forced to incriminate himself, it is definitely good news that the Judge didn't try to rewrite the constitution. It's high time that we start holding the judges who disagree with this concept accountable.
How is 95% a monopoly, and yet 75% isn't? What's the exact percentage at which we switch to calling something a monopoly? How about the fact that Apple threatens legal action against anyone who tries to make a music player that can read their protected version of AAC?
Well if you want to get into semantics, then what's being done about the Apple monopoly on music players? I say that tongue in cheek, as I myself own an iPod, but what point I was trying to make is with the OS X Operating System, Apple has a complete stranglehold on their software and where it can be used. Even MS is not allowed to dictate what hardware can and can't be used with their software, although they can make recommendations of course, so why would we let Apple do this, because we feel sorry for them that in reality they can't compete with MS. I don't get the pity party for Apple, if they indeed had a superior product for a competitive price, then shouldn't they be cutting a lot more into the market share? The product may be superior, but I liken it to a comparison between a Mercedes and a Ford. The Mercedes is a superior vehicle, more refined, probably safer, and most definitely more stylish, but the Ford gets you there just as well as the Mercedes does, and leaves money left over to spend on other stuff.
Because 20 years ago we thought that this would mean sending Cole Trickle (err, I mean Tom Cruise) along with them, and that was unthinkable. Now, we have made Cole General of the invasion force, and advised him to lead his troops into battle. Here's hoping that the General trips over a land mine.
Who said anything about invasion? Ask Al Qaeda what they think about the MOAB. A series of transport planes would bury you in said caves. Or we could tell all of the rednecks in the southeast that you called them Yankees and watch as they pour over the border with shotguns, Trucks with Dale Earnhardt #3 stickers, and plenty of Jack Daniels. Canada would be the 51st state in a matter of days.
My only problem with that is that the programmer usually is not the one to file for the patent. Yeah, maybe there's a patent filed when one shouldn't have been, but don't shoot the inventor, shoot the moronic upper level manager who decides that said program should be patented to help the bottom line when it comes to IP.
Keep in mind that the US is one of the last countries where Cellular Carriers have a lock on the market. Take Japan for instance. There, it's unheard of to buy a phone because of a Carrier. You buy the phone and pick who you want to be with. But then again they pay a lot more for their phones, so we could end up like that sometime in the future but then the phones would be more expensive.
What's even more hilarious is that when I went to look at the list posted above, Canada's two Golds came in women's wrestling and in rowing. They must have world class athletes. No wonder Steve Nash doesn't want to play for the Canadian Team anymore. To quote the great playoff choker, "In my mind right now, I'm not going to play for Canada any more." Wow, just ouch.
From what I saw from another post above, this is already occurring.

The police searching has nothing to do with him incriminating himself, if I had the mod points I'd mod you as off topic.
Yeah I know, just thought I'd emphasize the point.
I was hesitant to click on that link, for fear that you were just going to Rick Roll us all.
Say one catches fire, what the hell are the odds of anything but "Shit, Not My Nano!" and a puff of smoke happening?
If this was a blockbuster thriller movie, I'd say 100%.

BAM! End a sentence with a preposition!

Why do you keep on seeing problems and monopolies in places where it does not exist?
Why do you keep defending Apple for anything they do? Steve, that you? Or just the reality distortion field at work?
How is 95% a monopoly, and yet 75% isn't? What's the exact percentage at which we switch to calling something a monopoly? How about the fact that Apple threatens legal action against anyone who tries to make a music player that can read their protected version of AAC?
Anonymous Coward should be auto-modded -1: Coward. France, is that you?

I'd mod you up just for the signature alone. Laughed and tasted a little vomit in my mouth at the same time.
Who's the prick who posted anonymously, eh? Outed indeed, perhaps you are the anti-outed out.
Already trumped by my patent for registering ideas with the government in order to protect my IPs. I call it...patenting.
My only problem with that is that the programmer usually is not the one to file for the patent. Most of these athletes probably don't even know how these networks rank the medals. Nor do I doubt that they care.
