  1. You guys are missing the point on Windows 7 Likely Going Modular, Subscription-based · · Score: 2, Insightful

It's all about the money. Gates has been fuming for years that people sign up and pay for monthly services for ISP accounts, Cell Phones, etc... He wants that monthly revenue (remember back in the late 90's with "Software as a service"?). So he wants to convince someone to pay $15 per month for an OS, (or $150 per year which would be a 20% discount) Of course if you want to network or use MS word on a monthly basis that will be a little extra.

The bad part is that after M$ does it, everyone will want to do it from Virus protection to Media players, etc...

    Show me the money!!

  2. RFID is the answer on ACLU of Ohio Sues To Block Paper Ballots · · Score: 1

The only sure way to reduce voter fraud is for everyone to be micro-chipped at birth, walk into the voting booth a sensor would determine how many guns you had, how you've voted in the past, how many times you've used the healthcare system, etc.. and then register your vote accordingly.

    Quit fighting it, it's coming.

  6. Define a cyber-squatter - on Microsoft to Sue Cybersquatters · · Score: 1

Doesn't Microsoft and other companies engage in cyber-squatting themselves when they register domains like www.microsoftsucks.com? They are keeping others from posting legitimate gripe sites by registering and sitting on the domain name.

  8. The Freedom to innovate-When market share at ris on Details On IE7 CSS Changes · · Score: 1

Isn't coincidence just amazing? Microsoft promotes a new browser with new features just as reports come out that IE is losing marketshare to firefox. For their next performance, do you think they'll pass the Acid2 test or do you think they'll join the committee that creates the Acid2 test so that they can pass the Acid2 browser rendering tests?

  9. Guinea Pigs on Microsoft's High School Opens in PA · · Score: 1

I love it when we use our kids as guinea pigs. What happens when Microsoft's teaching strategies don't work on kids this age? Is MS going to give them all jobs anyway?
