I don't see why people continue trying to argue for/against the "interference" issue. Maybe they're just stupid (if they believe the interference story) or they are stupid and think it's cool to be contrary for the sake of it (if they don't believe the interference story). If it were a serious concern, terrorists would just board planes and leave their cellphones on.
I'm actually glad that the rules are in place, despite the *idiotic* justification.
People are, generally speaking, incompetent. If I ever have to take the emergency exit to get out of a burning plane, I'd rather have just a line of idiots ahead of me in the queue to get out than a line of idiots *who are also distracted because they couldn't put down their phone/tablet/whatever* .
Compared to a Windows laptop of equal specs, they're much more expensive.
Compared to an Apple Macbook Air - they're around the same price, if not more expensive in some cases.
I know/. is a a little slow usually, but it's a little silly to see this article pop up now as full service has essentially been restored (just now getting back mail client access, while webmail was working for the past few days).
Don't give it to them. Seems pretty simple to me.
I'd like to see anyone come at me for any info about me on facebook for anything other than ridiculous hairstyles and poor fashion sense.
because everyone is always so clear headed when their vehicle suddenly accelerates for no clear reason,and\or has the time to calm down before they collide with something.
I apologize in advance if you're NOT being sarcastic.
That should be one of the first things that comes to mind- close to but before or after using the brakes depending how fast the driver recognizes the cause of the sudden increase in speed.
If one isn't "clear headed" enough to get out of a situation like this, then one shouldn't be driving.
It's really not hard to put in the SI prefixes- most of them are letters found on a U.S. keyboard and the others are easily inserted with a word processor.
"The interesting bit of this is that a bunch of people probably got hit with the old Trojan when they browsed to a story about the new one."
Is anybody else relieved that the word "interesting" was used instead of "irony?"
This seems like the perfect place to misuse the word "irony."

I was under the impression that doing so was always trivial by design, no?

The idiots realized they made a stupid decision. Revolutionary.
