American movie studios don't do full frontal nudity. European studios do.

I think the main reason for this is we don't have a "Bible Belt" throwing shame in our faces constantly, and accept that no matter what colour a penis is, it's just a penis.

Your name is apt. You are an idiot.

You get roughly eleven seconds of Dr Manhattan manhood in the entire thing. The problem you have is that you instantly go "It's a dick! FIXATE FIXATE FIXATE..." Exactly the same as my girlfriend did.

The same thing appears in the comic book. That's why it's there. It shows his lack of regard for human ideals; The human body is not to be ashamed of, or revulsed, surprised, or shocked by. I have one. You have one. Your dad has one. Get over it.

The plot was lost because the story takes a HELL of a lot longer than 2.75 hours to read. It's the way comics work. You get time to stop, consider the implications, imagine the scene, then move on. You didn't get that in the movie. It was still a reasonable good movie, though, and true to the comic.

If the only thing you brought back from that movie was "OMG LULZ I SOR A PEENAR!!1122" then you need to grow up a little.

Yeah yeah, off-topic. It needed to be said.

If an art gallery purchases a piece of artwork, "Madonna on the Rocks" for example, and charges entry fees to view them, do they give a portion of that money to Leonardo's estate (if there is one)? Does the gallery purchase the work outright, or is it just licensed?

How does this transpose to this situation? Does a song writer sell the "artwork" (which it what it is) to the recording company / artist, or license it? If it's sold, they're out of luck, aren't they? It's not theirs anymore. Just like Leonardo wouldn't get a penny from the sale of Mona Lisa postcards, song writers won't get a penny from record sales.

This is an honest question; I want to know how this works.

YouTube was rubbish for music. The audio quality was poor, frequently videos would be queueing for much longer than others for no apparent reason (not popularity; Could be a couple of thousand or multilpe millions of views) and including video just added to the bulk.

Yesterday, I downloaded Spotify. I've used the free, advertisment-supported service to listen to the entirety of Octovarium by Dream Theater, and today I'm going for the monthly subscription.

This will be the first time since 2006 that I have paid for music with money instead of through advertisment exposure. THAT is a service which works for me. I know I don't OWN the music, but then again I'm not BUYING music, I'm listening to all the tracks I want, whenever I want, from wherever I want, and paying for the bandwidth and storage space to host and distribute those files.

The bully keeps hitting you in the face and you complain. When the bully starts to slap you, it doesn't hurt so much, so you're willing to take it. Problem is, both are wrong, and you shouldn't be allowing either in the first place.

The bully just so happens to play the flute, and makes a little money by selling recordings of him playing. He's punching you in the face because you might have bought a recording, might not, but you're giving it out copies of it for free.

We can all make dumb analogies. I'm just surprised you didn't include a car in there.

    Last.fm say thanks.

If you live outside of the US, UK, or Germany, you've stopped costing them money by consuming their bandwidth and server cycles. You weren't making them anything because their advertising partners don't pay for advert traffic outside of those three countries. In essence, you've done them a favour, and you've helped ensure that thanks to reduced costs, the UK, Germany, and US can stay advert supported and not be subsidised with subscriptions.

    Thanks again!
