I'm patenting:
a) a procedure to deliver information by the modulation of sound waves in a gaseous medium. The procedure, which from now on will be referred to as "Speaking"(tm), can deliver data packets (or "sentences"(tm)) on short distance, and will use
b) a semantic code, which from now on will be referred to as "Language"(tm), to ensure the understanding of the information delivered "Speaking"(tm) only by the recipients possessing the same "Language"(tm) set of the sender.

Uhm... No, the older story I remember with a similar concept is by Henry Kuttner:"The eye", don't know where it was first pubblished but it is in the anthology "Ahead of Time" (1953?).
Touring usually is the main source of money for any musician. While you get about 10% of the price of a cd from the label (if you signed a good contract), you get up to the 40% of the ticket price for a show (at least that's how things work here). Musicians go touring 'cause, they like to, true, but non one would spend 6-8 mounths touring if it wasn't his only way to earn his living. (Yhea, touring is funny... the first week).
Right-wing government in Italy? Well, maybe, but we had state control over health assistance, electric power, phone service, school and university and other main infrastructures. And many of us think we should have going on so (while the "left"-wing government is trying to sell almost everything to commercial company). I suppose that the above factors allow to think we are used to a socialist view about things like intellectual proprietry and OSS. I don't even want to bother about the mafia thing... Looks like either you watched too many movies or you think Sicily represents the whole italian reality.
