    *Desktops/spaces (1989, 17 years before macs)

*servers, embedded systems, access-points, cars, phones(non-smart), media centers, supercomputing, Beowulf clusters
because its more stable, more secure, easier to maintain, lighter on resources, supports more hardware, more powerful and because it fucking can (id like to see a Beowulf cluster of OS X machines)
and thats ignoring the dazaling array of kernel features that osX is choking on the fumes of linux (and often windows) like: Linux security modules, kernel virtualisation manager, copy on write (coming soon), execute in place, mesh networking, root-key ( unable to run new root processes without a usb key in the drive), etc

Sure it wont be great gas but you can then treat it and use branching/anti-branching catalysts etc, at the end of the day a car doesn't give a shit where the gas came from as long as its mostly ~c8h18.

Cheap clean electricity is what is needed (just go fucking nuclear already), once you get that, ethanol (or even methane) can be chained to produce whatever plastics/ gas you need! (hell you can grow the shit in hydroponics plants, if the electricity is cheap enough)

I don't think many people consider juk/noatun competition for amarok as a serious music manager, last time i used it it was nowhere near feature par with amarok 1.4. in particular
