    Fork it and market it, that one of the reasons this is ubuntu based not debian based. To start with ubuntu wasn't much more than a marketed version of debian with official support (eventually its become alot more than that) but if anybody can be botherd i doubt it would be too hard to use GIMP to make some make a related but more marketable product called GNU Image Editor Pro or something

    whats that i hear? due to the fact that the player and format were designed for video its not using much cpu either so your saving the rainforests.

    find me an easy way to install it and ill prefer moonlight to flash anyday. but as it is i can install flash10b but moonlight with media support requires me to actually get a clue, which i just cant be arsed to do for some crappy video feed.

    Im sure i dont need much of a clue but then again i have a short attention span. i think i need to
    1) download svn moonlight
    2) download a valid mediaplayers source (mplayer only i think)
    3) tell moonlight where mplayer is
    4) sword fight while waiting for moonlight to compile
    5) watch crappy video

    be aware that im from the ooh ubuntu 5.10, 'just click to add shiny' generation of linux users so a step like 3 will require me a lengthy blog.

    (all this was true at the time of euro08)

    they seam to be doing it in a sneaky way but overall this is probably a good move for users.
    microsoft have given us a built in ad-blocker
    google will push firefox more and hopefully come up with a more private way to track users ( like offering a flag to randomise cookies between sessions)

    youve just made the attack a lot harder, this is fail in the same way that a thief can still steal stuff from your house after you've locked your door. Sure its not perfect, but as long as it doesn't sell itself as such, this is a definite improvement

    yeah I love gasping for breath and thinking I'm drowning. Its not that bad in the same way that bondage isn't that bad if you know your safe, but I'm fairly sure if you were detained and forcibly whipped you wouldn't be thinking, well people pay for this shit so its not that bad.

    It only seams to affect Cut/paste is this just the implementation or is the select/paste immune to the attack?

    It only has any effect on me if i click to load the flash before then it has no effect (ubuntu 8.04 64bit)

    try having a look at phun and slingshot. thier clearly games made by physicist and hence mainly lacking in fun. theres really not that much to the physics of games. Assuming that its a 2D game all they can put in it is
    friction = normal reaction . coefficent of friction
    gravity to floor = m . g
    gravity between objections = m1 * m2 / d^2
    springs = k . x
    collisions are fairly trivial as long as you have the coefficient of elasticity of both objects a couple of a-level students could work that one out

    really there's nothing in there you need a physicist for, they're not look for an introduction to quantum mechanics (trust me when you start telling children their cat would be half dead all you get are tears)
