the first link in the story is one to the topstory today of the la times.
Top stories change, you know... so now your link refers to some story about cellular phones.
I don't have time to look things up (at work, one of those 47 days per year)... could anyone provide an accurate link to the story ?

I would vote for 'koeieuier' as the official name of the algorithm, as proposed on the Rijndael webpage ;-)

Maybe some application making use of the algorithm could be named 'koeieuier'

  3. Understandable but wrong... on ISPs Victimizing DoS Victims? · · Score: 1

The ISP is wrong here, I think. I can fully understand that the ISP is facing a difficult issue here, but if they keep on doing this, civil rights are in danger.

If ISP continue acting like that, it would be too easy for e.g. Nazi-techies to eliminate a great deal of anti-nazistic websites. They could even try eliminate all websites off gays, non-white people, ...

We are facing larger and larger difficulties keaping the net clean, but letting a small group of techies decide what sites should an should not be on the net is definitely wrong !

What is this article about... most of the specs were already on the site a month ago. I thought /. was NEWS for nerds. So I do expect articles about things that are new to me (and the nerd-community)
