    I'm going to take that as a good sign (call me desperate) that he's open about this; it's a welcome display of honesty (at least on one level) coming from a politician who's on the side of the aisle that typically preaches to rural illiterates. I certainly don't recall G.W. letting it slip that his "hillbilly act" was anything but; nearly all of you are still convinced to this day that he was just as much of a simple fool as the gullible hicks and senile retirees who elected him).

    Well, you'd have to be stupid to mount a shitty $200 scope on a $1000 rifle but a $2000 scope would be another story... and there's your $3000 AR (and not necessarily chambered in wimpy 5.56, either).

    I'd say most conspiracy theories are asinine in their implications but nonetheless this is a meme perpetuated by the establishment and the media; it's not meant (nor is it even necessary) for it to sway everyone, just the majority; those of us too smart to fall for it represent such an insignificant portion of the population that we don't matter. You, however, fell for it... which means it isn't even your own opinion; it was planted there.
