  3. Apparently this "law professor" has CJD or perhaps a brain tumor; there's just a bit of a difference between publishing modifications to genetic sequences (i.e. exercising one's write to free speech) and actually implementing those modifications in the physical world.

    Except that while I haven't seen God or Jesus (that I know of), I've seen quite clearly an "artifact" (for lack of a better word) flying in the sky that bore absolutely no resemblance to any sort of flying machine that the public has knows about. No, I'm certainly not suggesting that it had to be ET... but to rule it out offhand... or equate belief in said possibility with a belief in religion... isn't particularly impressive, intellectually.

    You're confusing anti-lock brakes and stability with traction control: traction control merely limits wheel-slip under acceleration.

    You need to envision what a commute is like in transit-intensive Japan.

    My mom and I were riding the train home from Tokyo to Kamakara (she was holding me; I was about two so this would have been around '75). No one on the train would get up to give her a seat (just wasn't done). She was standing over a lady in a kimono... and apparently I was feeling sick, because I leaned over and vomited my mac n' cheese dinner straight down the woman's neckline into her kimono. :D

    You're sort of right; you just have it backwards: there are South American genes (via Easter Island) among some of the Polynesians (the migration was westerly, away from South America).
