Unfortunately, as one of those people who still depends on sites using Java, I had to switch to Firefox as of Chrome 45. Shame they wouldn't allow us to enable NPAPI, but I guess this is probably the only way to force those sites' hands. In the meantime, I have no choice but to switch. Makes me a sad panda.
My biggest problem with cloud streaming is I don't want a corporate entity knowing everything I own/listen to/watch, etc. Because by default the government will know. And the way things are heading in this country, I wouldn't be surprised if we have another Red Scare of sorts to be used against citizens deemed Un-American by some faction looking to score points.
Or heaven forbid, I upload something that I can't later prove I purchased (like I lost the DVD, CD, etc.). Could you imagine how much easier a witchhunt from the MPAA or RIAA will be if all our content is online at a public server?
Forgive my design ignorance with this question, but would it be that hard to put in a micro platter hard drive in an ipod touch? I would love to have the screen size and functionality of an iPod touch, but refuse to buy one until storage/cost catch up to the iPod classics of today. I'm willing to purchase a thicker iPod touch if it will accommodate one of those mico hard drives. I see no reason why Apple can't do this, and it frustrates me not knowing why. So please, someone set me straight. Thanks.
