  1. Beware of disability advocates on How are You Preventing Mailto-Link Harvesting? · · Score: 4, Interesting

People fighting for those who have difficulty seeing have been complaining about the sites that have a person type a number displayed in an image to verify that they're not a bot. They say it causes undue hardship on sight impaired folks. That may not be a legal fight your company would like to enter.

I can see both sides of this. Can't say I know where to stand though.

Sweet. Finding a ps was always an issue when I was in school. It usually ended up with using a spare computer ps and some 7805's. (Like the pwoer wasn't regualted enough already).

Do you ready any 'homebrew' magazines? I used to buy "Popular Electronics" now it's either "Circuit Cellar" or another google search.

Instead of a repeater, try taking output from the serial port, pushing that to an LED driver, through fiber optic cable to the cable box, and into a difuser positioned near the ir detector.

    Anyhow, have fun.

    2) You don't have to wait for a callback.

    3) You already know the details of your problem. You know what you tried. You don't need to try and communicate these to person on the other end.

What types of problems have you come across that have been handled better by tech support people?

Some have mentioned needing to wait for an updated package to be released by your distro. Just grabbed the latest source/patch and compile it yourself. Can't get too much quicker than that.;)

I suggest we place a tax/fine on services that are outsourced to contractors ooutside the US. This is already done on goods that are imported. It helps maintain the lifestyle we enjoy here. It also encourages companies to keep the jobs within the country. Why can't we do the same w/ white collar jobs?

We're shooting ourselves in the foot when we allow foreigners to come over to our schools and run our gas stations. We educate them and then send our jobs to their doorsteps? We support them with food and cash so they can dance around in the streets burning our flag?? WTF is up with that?!?!?

Although the following comment will probably be thought of as 'flamebait' by our 'associates' in France and Canada. The US rocks. I'll support any measure taken that isolates us from the rest of the world. We don't NEED anything anyonelse has. We've got everything here.
