im sure theres someone out there right now working on software to be 'self-aware' and when that day comes i do believe we are all fuct, but i feel fairly capiable given all the hours of ET:QW... what do the machines have the strogg dont? =D
how useless, arent most of these lil quirks we've all gotten used to over the years. suspuend/resume on linux??? like any of us really want this... heh they still use rpm as well... let em have it.
it wasnt so much the drugs but more or less the fact that they are/were asspoundingly gay. i mean before the drugs... once they were high they made a couple of songs which are listenable...
ya'll talk like nobody ever released a linux game and made money on it. id has been doing this for years and guess what they have support that isnt dist-specific =P this whole topic is flamebait. but i know i come home and play Enemy Territory:Quake Wars(oct07) every nite on my debian install. im sure there is a nice m$ kickback for using DirectX over OpenGL. Im really hoping after the flop of Windows7 m$ will give up on their software monopoly and just make xboxen =D
its a shame when a subpar company is forced to release its code so we can write our own working drivers because they cant/wont.

i see all these posts about UI and installer, it like the windows installer has been the same way for 10 years, i knew debian 4.0 was a turning point due to just hardware detection on a console installer. linux has never promised a UI, if fact linux has nothing at all to do with a UI, but if we want to train the monkeys to use computers they must be able to point and click.i say it comes down to if your the kind of person who is a sheep in a flock or your someone who WANTS to TAKE THE TIME, to LEARN how to use linux to its fullest extent, which does NOT come from point and click menu's. ls/etc(period) the XwindowSystem and linux can be configured to accomidate just about every need you can think of. its just a matter of a little free thought + choice.
