Going back to VHS doesn't help, every time I watch a VHS movie or TV show, I'm accosted by a FBI advert. How do they know I like to pirate movies!? It's just creepy.
It really is a shame that dell had to direct new users towards the windows side, when in actuality labeling Ubuntu as perfect for 'new users' is more accurate. Since they are exactly the people that should be trying Ubuntu. They aren't used to windows already, and likely haven't developed any prejudices towards one piece of software or another, so OpenOffice and CrossoverOffice are just as good as Microsoft Office.
I read the article, hence the quote from the article.
Why would the mother pick up the daughter from their own house, and not simply call the cops, or boot the guy out. If it was the mother's house I would assume, she would just call the cops to come get the guy.
This is also why I stated that it implies TO ME. It was a simple question, that I was curious about the wording in the article.
What are you talking about?
I was merely asking why the girl would need to be 'picked up by her mom' if she was at her own house. The wording implies she was not at her house, it has no bearing on the guy raping her, or the fact that this is an atrocious act.
I was asking whether there were some details that were not being disclosed.
Simple, not that hard to grasp.
In my mind pedophiles deserve lifetime prison sentences with no possibility of a parole. This guy deserves a couple decades in jail for sure, but it's really not pedophilia.
Are you implying rape of a minor doesn't deserve life in prison without parole, or even rape in itself. In my book they are both equal, and very much deserve the same punishment.
Why would this be modded off topic?
It's a valid point, I certainly want someone who can write a coherent document in their specialty, protecting critical sensitive data. Not these idiots who seem like they are just picking buzz words and filling in the gaps madlibs-esque.
Maybe it's just me, but I find 'Psotgres' to be far lacking compared to mysql. Ease of use also counts for something when working with the masses...and yes I am making fun of your inability to spell the very product you're trying to troll with.
Fun times.
Having actually left a pocket knife in my carry on, I was quite surprised that they did in fact find it. It was buried at the bottom of the bag, under a bunch of electronics.
I was always under the impression that the x-rays were just eye-candy, however this last experience has actually made me wonder about the usefulness of them, as they no longer seem inept/useless to me.
Just my thoughts,

It may not be a cure all but it seems a step in the right direction.
While this in fact is probably in response to the court rulings, and current legal trouble; It seems that this probably has more to do with them being worried about the service being completely taken down, or blacklisted, than with them being worried about whether it's legal or not.
From what I've read of the articles mentioned, one of the main upsides to this is the inability to reliably block it. I could be reading this incorrectly, however it still moves more towards a reliable network with less points of failure IMHO
Actually, once you have the initial 'Microsoft Download Manager' installed, you can download it with firefox all you want. The only thing the activex controllers are used for is to install the microsoft application to manage the download.
So if you downloaded the first iso, say the 32bit one, and wanted to download the 64bit iso as well, as long as you have the Download Manager installed, you can do so with Firefox or any browser of your choice, because all it's going to do is refer the aspx page your accessing to the Download manager.
One would think and yet my devious plan to attract to visitors to brilliance has failed.
Now if only there was some way to force people to visit our brilliance, maybe I should talk to Microsoft, or various ISP's...they seem to know how to force interaction with public consent:-)
Since it seems pretty clear the whole point of TFA was to draw attention to this project, kind of like free advertising I figure I'll just jump on the bandwagon.
As much as I would love to see google's code become open source, I have a feeling that's not what they were talking about. At the moment, their apps are what are making them a substantial amount of money, if all of a sudden gmail became open source what would that do to their business.
I have a feeling this is more Ala Apple, where they are interested in creating some semblance of openness by allowing some interaction from outside developers.
The shift will also depend on hardware vendors making sure that their hardware is completely ipv6 compatible. Even with quite a few vendors saying that their stuff is compatible, I know of a quite a few major bugs still lurking with those same vendors. Not many large companies are going to switch to IPv6 until they need to upgrade hardware, if their existing hardware is only IPv4 compatible.
There are number of developments. Challenge to find backdoor: http://maycontaintracesofbolts.blogspot.com/2010/12/openbsd-ipsec-backdoor-allegations.html Jason Wright's response: http://marc.info/?l=openbsd-tech&m=129244045916861&w=2

who was living with who? There seems to be more here than is being reported.
Just give the job to the counterfeiters, they'll have it out in a couple of months.
I refuse to work for the military or Microsoft until they offer more money than I get as a crack-dealing gigolo hitman.
In all fairness that is 3 jobs...

There is a quick and dirty fix via a module. https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=432251#c10 The actual patch is listed here: http://home.powertech.no/oystein/ptpatch2008/ -Rob
