It took a bit of time to figure out how to remove Cortana from the boxes infested with Windoze10:
-Turn off fastboot -Boot with Linux distro of your choice -Rename all of the Cortana binaries -Enjoy not seeing useless waste of CPU by a process that Windoze lied about turning off
Instead of posting to the choir, do something that matters. Send a dead-tree fax to your congressman. Most of them don't give a rat's posterior about volumes of email messages. Send a real fax to your local congresscritter in your own state. Most have their local fax numbers available via their links at http://www.house.gov/representatives/ . Posting here and on other sites frequented by those of us who actually understand how bad the censorship will be won't do ANYTHING. Send a polite fax to your congressman's home (not in DC) office - even congressmen can count faxes.
The majority of users are chained to Windows. According to http://www.w3schools.com/browsers/browsers_os.asp , the majority of these are STILL using WinXP! My computers include a beautiful 24" intel iMac, a fast laptop with win7/Ubuntu and a fast desktop with Vista/Ubuntu. I choose to work in Ubuntu because of the freedom and productivity it gives me. Guys like myself, and people who are happy working with their WinXP PCs really couldn't care less about Windows 8. The fanboys and Shiny Object fanatics are excited about Windows 8, but otherwise, how many people truly care about Windows 8?
I have read the articles here and on several other sites, and I've read many Infoworld articles over the past few years on UCITA, and I _still_ don't see how it is damaging to Open Source. As pointed out earlier, this page seeks to address the concerns of Open Source advocates, and does a good job of such. I have understood the dangers of large proprietary corps like M$ being able to turn software off and abuse consumers in other ways, but I have not been able to find a single credible reference to how UCITA will hurt Linux developers or users. Can someone post a rational and clear explanation using traceable references to UCITA language that demonstrates the potential for harm? I'm certain that many others would also appreciate clarification. Thanks
In fact, it might not even _have_ a registration card! Instead, buy it from a known Linux vendor, like Tux Games so that other game companies will get the message that Linux really is a platform worth developing for!
A unified CLI-based administration tool seems to be missing. People bitch and complain about LinuxConf, but it really does make administration via SSH easy, and it is MISSING from 7.3, with no apparent replacement! Bero, if you are reading this, perhaps you could explain the intended replacement or alternative? A LOT of admins will find a shortage of CLI tools to be a big problem. Thanks for listening to my rant/question.

This is simply creepy. Yes, there are potentially wonderful applications. There are also potentially horrendous ones. This is creepy.
This was irrefutable proven by George on Seinfeld. And if it happened on Seinfeld, you KNOW it has to be real. :)

Words fail to describe just how much I loathe the evil M$ organization. They are uniquely worthy of being despised.
