The point being that I agree with you (and not the grandparent) in terms of any danger in terms of weaponizing these kind of rockets. There may be some common components for commercial spaceflight launchers and what you can find for military missiles, but there are enough major differences that they are not interchangeable. This is especially true for "modern" rocket designs, where there is a clear separation of the designs because they have different objectives in terms of flight profile and performance characteristics.
You're right, there's enough difference between a missile and a plane than no one would ever use a plane as a missile... and even if they did, it wouldn't have the same effect.
We must maintain, at all costs, beloved technological anachronisms like printer incompatibilities and X11. Shame on Apple! Shame on them for trying to rid computing of all its cruft.
Yes, that and bluray. Also : SD cards and USB3.0.
To be fair, they did push the worldwide adoption of firewire and emo-hipster-culture.
Sure, it's no longer as popular to hate on homosexual people as it was in the past, but we have all new forms of hatred and intolerance which our modern society deems acceptable, and which will be just as subject to the next generation's ridicule and derision.
Only none of your reasons for acquittal apply here. There was no trial error and he wasn't innocent. There is no doubt as to his guilt (as there was no doubt about the guilt of Oscar Wilde either), it's just that the law that they broke was absolutely abhorrent.
Exactly! So it's not a question of pardoning the people that had issues with the law, it'd be a question of repealing the law...
ensure instead that we never again return to those times
Then perhaps pardoning him would be a step in the right direction?
Perhaps. But it seems that recognizing that it was a mistake, recognizing it was legal at the time, and recognizing that it shouldn't happen again would accomplish a lot more.
If you even remotely support LGBT rights, please don't donate to these people.
Yes, they actively campaign against gay marriage. Are you saying that negates the worthiness of their charity work? Do you think they spit on gay disaster victims instead of giving them food, or what?
Grow up, and realize that not all worthwhile organizations and benevolent acts must be 100% in line with your beliefs to be worthwhile or benevolent.
... what if I'm anti-gay marriage and accept help from an LGBT charity? Does that mean the LGBT charity isn't doing their job?
Surprise, surprise, but one of the world's fastest growing "cults" provides a lay-ministry and completely transparent (as far as tax laws) organization that spends 100% of donations on charitable process. I suppose you could claim that someone is making money somewhere, but the IRS can't find anyone making money off donations... so I doubt it is happening. The IRS... you know, the guys who took down Al Capone. Now that's an impressive credential.
Actually, I'm a reasonable approximation of a Scotsman by heritage, although 3rd generation in Canada.
... you're not anywhere close to being a scotsman. But you can keep believing that your cultural heritage is some place different that where your dad and grandad grew up... if it makes you feel better. Won't make it any more true than the third generation italians who claim to be mafia, simply because they have a grandparent from Sicily.
A kilt is a made to measure garment that is specifically designed to fit a man's anatomy, and as such it is usually very unflattering to a woman's figure.
Heh, if that's proof, then I can think of a lot of women who are wearing kilts, not skirts.
Interesting thing is that when looking at history societies tend to become matriarchal shortly before they collapse. They may stay around for 100-200 years of being matriarchal but collapse they do. The interesting thing is that the same societies were around for many more centuries or millenia prior to that as patriarchal societies.
Makes one think.
Care to back that statement up with some examples?
pshaw. Examples are for democrats. I can refute this on pure gumption and old-fashioned crotchety-ness.
People are just jealous of Apple's brilliant innovations in the areas of rounded black rectangles, white box packaging, grid-like arrangements of icons, and, yes, accessory ports.
Apple would never copy other companies' designs. They have way too much integrity for that!
I love the fact that this was marked TROLL, not Funny.
... congrats, but you totally missed the part where I was making fun of you for assuming that "football" means NFL. Because, well, only in a very small (but obnoxious) part of the world is this the case.
So, I wasn't trolling you, but you totally over-reacted, and now I'm going to claim I was trolling you... because I seriously cannot believe someone would be as thick as you. Let me guess, you'll now claim to be trolling me. Good job, nub. l2p and come back when you've hit puberty.
You are missing the point, the point is having both options the same and knowing your opponents are playing by the same rules. If I want to play a FPS with my mouse and keyboard, I play it on my PC. If I feel like laying back and playing with a controller, I would play it on a console. Yes it is 2 different fields of gaming, but that dosn't make fooseball a bad game when that is what you feel like playing, but when one person wants to play fooseball, he should have the option to find other people who want to play fooseball, and not lose the game because one player is using the rules of football, and tackles him while he's opperating the fooseball table.
... You do realize that we're not talking about american football vs. fooseball. We're talking about real football vs. the tabletop kind. If you're going to attempt an argument, at least *try* to get with the program prior to posting?
Of course, anyone making $25,000, before taxes, can surely give up $10,000 of that to have a child. I mean, that's only about half their entire year's income. What sort of whiny bitch wouldn't be willing to pay that money?
Heh, you're so american. Only in the USA is it too expensive to have kids.
Personally I would actually preffer MS's idea. Yes K&M players will take gamepad players to the cleaners every time, but sometimes you just want to relax and play the game on a comfortable couch, leaning back with a controller in your hand, in a closed ecosystem where players can only use gamepads, the controls being gimped isn't a huge flaw because the opponents controls are also gimped, you can still have a fair match with both sides being comfortable. You open up precision of a K&M, you take away the option to fairly compete while being comfortable. I don't really get the benefit of cross platform gaming, if you preffer K&M shouldn't you have the game on the PC anyway?
You're right. Why go outside and play football when I can play foosball inside? I'm too tubby to fit out the door anyways...
I don't understand why people fail to realize this. As an extension, abstinence prevents a world of problems from even happening.
Because many people don't like taking responsibility for their actions. For example : abortion. Sure, it's not in the baby's best interest to be born to a 16 year old high school drop out. So, let's kill it.
You hate "religionists" and they hate you. The rest of us would rather you all shut the fuck up.
Can I get an amen from the non-hipster reasonable-atheists in the house? That's right, I'm talking to you, the people who don't go out of their way to be a-holes. Yup, that's right hipsters, everyone hates you and the fact that you hate everything else.
Actually, many secular scholars agree that a man named Jesus bar-joseph did indeed exist. I believe you're trying to imply that Jesus wasn't the son of god. Get your argument straight, and maybe you'll stop looking so silly.

If you read the article, they're only talking about surveillance of staff, not student, accounts. i.e. Employee emails.
And if you're doing anything more than undergraduate studies, you're generally both staff AND student.
Funny.
Most of Apple's machines have a SD card slot.
... yes, now. If you were old enough to remember two processor generations ago, you'd know that's a fairly new concession.
We must maintain, at all costs, beloved technological anachronisms like printer incompatibilities and X11. Shame on Apple! Shame on them for trying to rid computing of all its cruft.

Atheism is the new red-headed step-child.
Hold on, hating on religion is popular, not hating on not-religion. Grow up.

And I am somewhat of a traditionalist, I did grow up in a highland dance band.
Fine, if you want me to stop calling your kilt a skirt, then you'll have to go back to buggering sheep like a true scotsman.
Actually, I'm a reasonable approximation of a Scotsman by heritage, although 3rd generation in Canada.

Part of freedom means they may choose a path you do not like.
So at what point does your freedom to free-ride become an infringement on my freedom to not support your free-riding ways?

Note the presence of the quotes around the name.
Now go shove a bible up your cunt.
Note the fact that you're posting AC, and thus, by definition, both anonymous and a coward. Big words for someone like that.
Probably not; "amen" is a religious expression.
Nice try. It is hebrew that means "So let it be". But thanks for playing, and good luck in 5th grade in the fall.

Mod up.
Humanity needs less religion and more rational thought.
I wasn't aware the two were mutually exclusive.
You hate "religionists" and they hate you. The rest of us would rather you all shut the fuck up.

"Jesus" never existed. Deal with it.
Actually, many secular scholars agree that a man named Jesus bar-joseph did indeed exist. I believe you're trying to imply that Jesus wasn't the son of god. Get your argument straight, and maybe you'll stop looking so silly.
