I have read (slightly tongue in cheek) research saying that tail pipe emissions tend to be cleaner than the intake air:-) It's pretty much just CO2 and water.
When someone is talking about accepting new technology, 12 and 15 year old examples are not particularly relevant.
A Tale of Two Mazda 3s: 2013 Mazda 3, 155 HP 2.0L, 6 speed automatic: 28 city, 40 highway 2013 Mazda 3, 155 HP 2.0L, 6 speed manual: 27 city, 39 highway
And I didn't even have to use models from three years apart.
No to mention the fact that they just recorded what was being openly broadcast. If someone prints their SSN in the newspaper, you certainly aren't guilty of identity theft when the daily copy is delivered at home home.
I ask that people stop redefining the term "torture" to suit their purposes and that somehow makes me a supporter of the US government which is just as guilty of redefining the term to suit their purpose?
You have suffered a massive comprehension failure.
When you decry something the US government did and someone responds about the US government, then you freak jump tracks and start screaming about that person defending Monsanto, you are perceived as being an idiot.
I'm done responding because this just one stawman argument after another. Feel free to make up more shit that I supposedly did and scream about it to your heart's content.
Stop redefining words. Torture is the use of pain and/or harm on another living being. Period. Making someone feel dopey to get information from them may be immoral, but it is absolutely not torture.
You were the one being all proud of supporting a company that doesn't advertise. I just pointed out that they advertise their other products, which means you're proud of supporting a company that doesn't advertise one out of four lines of their product.
You may have thought you kicked a field goal, but all you did was bounce the ball off a cheerleader's head.
The US government sprayed the solders with Agent Orange, not Monsanto, yet you're claiming that I'm defending Monsanto for the actions of the US government?
That doesn't even make sense and all it does is demonstrate just how idiotic your arguments are. I would call you a troll, but that would be insulting to trolls.
It's not. That's actually the big challenge to turning this stuff into a product. Various ways to do it have been developed, but I don't think any of them have scaled up well enough to allow mass production of products.
Let me get this straight... you actually think that the beef you buy at the store has been checked for cellular level defects?
ROFLMAO
Beef is inspected visually. If a cow isn't falling down or visibly ill, it goes straight into slaughter. Same thing during and after slaughter... visual inspection only. If test-tube beef ever becomes a real product, it'll get the exact same visual inspection. The only difference is that, having been grown in a controlled environment, there won't be any exposure to prions, bacteria or viruses which would make it far safer than what we have today.
Yes and you wouldn't notice the difference unless you were allergic to the protein since it's not in the form of long chains and it's suspended in the liquid just like all the other milk proteins.
You're leaving the city out of the blame and that's wrong.
The traffic camera company doesn't set the duration of the yellow lights. The city does that. The traffic camera company provides the financial incentive to encourage that encourages the practice, but it's the city's decision to place revenue over driver safety that ends up shortening the yellow lights.
Never heard of them, but a Google search shows a whole list of adword ads placed by Walmart and other retailers who placed ads for the product. Also, the company was bought by Sun & Skin Care Research LLC who also own theOcean Potion, Bullfrog and Parrot Head brands and has no problem with advertising.
But hey... at least you can pretend you're supporting some highly ethical company with your consumer choices, right?
Sure, the idea of an electric car has been around for a while. So has the idea of a rocket, but dismissing every advancement since the Chinese launched glorified fireworks at the Mongols around 800 years ago is obviously idiotic, yet that seems to be exactly what you're doing with respect to the advancements in electric vehicle technology.
Uranium offers about 1.7 million times the energy density of gasoline. Sometimes we trade off energy density for other qualities. In the case of electric cars, it's the elimination of emissions from the vehicle and the ability to use solar, wind and other clean sources of energy to refuel.
With an ICE, a handheld tank of fuel can be carried to any 'stranded' vehicle and it can be refueled and the vehicle can immediately proceed on it's way
In theory, yes, but in practice virtually nobody does that, particularly not stupid people who think they can go twice as far as their gas gauge says they can.. That's why towing companies offer to deliver a gallon or two of gas for $60 and up.
The reporter charged the car up to the point where it said it had a 32 mile range, then left knowing that it was 61 miles until the next charging station. That is not a flaw in the car, it's a reporter intentionally running the battery down so that he can report how big of a failure the car is.
That said, $125 for an ISBN is only "very expensive" in a country where the average person spends less than $125 for a bag of groceries. Which ain't this one.
Either you're using 40 gallon garbage bags for your shopping or you're buying a lot of overpriced shit. There's no way in hell you can cram $125 worth of normal groceries into a single bag.
Parental rights have absolutely to do with the separation of church and state, so this is not eve close to being an example.
That said, a woman can't force a man to impregnate her any more than a man can force a woman to have an abortion. Sure you can pull out some ridiculous example of a woman raping a man, but I can pull out just as many examples of men beating the shit out of their pregnant partners and causing a miscarriage. Neither is a valid example and both have to be excluded from any rational conversation. In all other cases, the man willingly participated in sex with the woman and took on the risk of fathering a child. He doesn't get the right to walk away and say "oops, doesn't count because I didn't think it would happen."
Anyone who wants to run for office has to pass both the standardized testing they give to K-12 students and the ACT. All scores must also be published regardless.
I have read (slightly tongue in cheek) research saying that tail pipe emissions tend to be cleaner than the intake air :-) It's pretty much just CO2 and water.
Really?
The fact that the Saturn SL series was only made with 1.9L engines makes your comment questionable, as does the fact that no Saturn SL model ever made was rated below 24mpg.
Anyway...
When someone is talking about accepting new technology, 12 and 15 year old examples are not particularly relevant.

Perhaps you missed the title of the article. The pedicab company isn't what's new.
But hey, don't let that stop you from being just as big a douche as the hipsters you like to complain about.
Here you go
The pedicab company that's doing it has been around for over a year already, so I'd bet they'll be around for a while.
No to mention the fact that they just recorded what was being openly broadcast. If someone prints their SSN in the newspaper, you certainly aren't guilty of identity theft when the daily copy is delivered at home home.

PCBs were thought to be safe at that time, which is why they were used. It was only in the late 80s that they were found to be carcinogenic.
The rest of your comment is equally clueless, just like the post I responded to.
Yeah, uh... that's pretty much the point I was making.
Perhaps you meant to reply to the post I was replying to?

Who needs surgery? Just listen to lots of loud music (or let yourself age for a couple of decades) and it'll happen on its own.
