Most of the time, I play FCI's Panel Action Bingo on my Game Boy. When I want Tetris, I play Tetanus on my laptop. When I want Dr. Mario, I play Vitamins for X or Windows.
and the real question is: can it play textmode quake?
The predecessor to Wolf3d (the predecessor to Doom (the predecessor to Quake)) is FaceBall for Game Boy. Buy the cartridge, download the ROM to your Palm device, and play away.

Motion picture studio web sites do not want you to turn off CSS:-)
Oh, that CSS. But they still don't want you to turn CSS off and make their eye-catching promotional pages look dull.

Is there a way to make a free web server (Xoom, Freeservers, Tripod, Geocities, FortuneCity) return a 302? Otherwise, I have to use window.location.replace('new page.html');</script>

So unbundling is now legal in Germany, what about Microsoft no longer selling anything in Germany?
How is that a bad thing? Computers will come with a BSD or GNU/Linux system installed on the HD. If the Deutsch want their preciousWinblowz apps, software developers will contribute to Wine.
what if... Billy says "Naw, screw it, I'll just close the company instead."
Because you hadn't agreed to the license agreement
While we're on that topic, why not have your grandma, your toddler, or your cat click the "agree" button? That's the fatal flaw of shrink- and click-wrap license agreements. This would also help the Wine project, as it allows legal reversing of Windows.
Maybe that is why Microsoft is insisting that companies does not include a seperate Windows CD and just use the "recovery" CD to reinstall the WinBlows Image.
According to the story, the "Windows recovery" CDs probably just unzip a Windows folder straight from the CD and leave the rest of the HD alone.
BTW: I always hated the CDs that don't allow you to install the products without wiping the entire system.

Only because BSD systems are often dedicated workstations or servers. GNU/Linux has a higher fraction of users who dual-boot because they can't afford vmware to run their precious Windows games.

In Mac OS 1.x to 7.x, "Eject Disk" ejects the disk from the drive but leaves it mounted (and shaded light gray instead of white). And the OS can ask for it back at any time, confusing users to high hell. Apple fixed it (thank Gosh!) in 8.0.
The Atari 2600 console had only 128 bytes of RAM and extremely simplistic graphics hardware; it pretty much had to generate each pixel in software as it was being drawn to the screen. There were only six objects (two sprites, three squares, and a horizontal strip of background) that could not be told to "draw at (x, y)" like on the Nintendo but instead to "draw at the current electron beam position."
Even if it was drawn with GIMP for Eunuchs, they could still claim it was made with WinGIMP because they both write something like "Made with GIMP" in the JPEG/G*F comments.

I've seen a few browsers trying to access /index.htm for some reason, /index.shtml is there and the first under Apache's default document list.
But...
I don't want to use javascript because people use lynx.
I thought Lynx adhered to the standards. Is Lynx one of the browsers that's going straight to index.htm?

Only buy from manufacturers whose recovery CDs don't reformat your HD (i.e. they just restore c:\windows). Acer's CDs don't reformat IIRC.

Exactly. No contract == no license == no license restrictions == you have all the rights of first sale and fair use.

But as of Mac OS 9, "Eject Disk" ejects the disk and removes it from the desktop.
Works in good old 8.x too.
