There's no concern about lock in either. All iPhones are unlockable, both for apps (jailbreaking the phone) and network

So, let me get this straight ... the only way to either unlock your phone with regards to apps or network is to do something strictly against the Terms of Service, thus invalidating your warranty. Oh, and maybe you brick the thing in the process.

Personally I like to use devices I have paid for in the way I choose to, not the way Steve Jobs TELLS me to ... and *I'm* the prick ?

You took away any vestige of freedom they had, and they fought back with the only weapon they had left - terror.

Now I'm not condoning terror, but YOU were the ones who forced this issue. The 6 month ceasfire did nothing except stop the rockets hitting Israel, and yet you STILL treated then like shit that whole time. And then you look all surprised when the second the ceasefire period is over, they resort back to their former ways.

Defend it any way you want, but the numbers speak for themselves ... killing innocents is NEVER justified, and in any other country of the world, would be considered a war crime. Just because the US is stuck so far up your ass does not absolve you from blame in the eyes of the rest of the world.

Yes, there are dangers on the internet. But taken in the context of the widespread nature of internet usage, the danger is a tiny fraction of a percent.

The same danger that telling your kids to "get outside for some fresh air", MIGHT lead to them being abducted.

You wouldn't let your 6 year old outside by himself at night, so why will you happily let him play online at night without supervision.

It's all about lack of parental responsibility, and government being "seen to be addressing the problem". Nothing more.

Look, if you want to confuse "Coefficient of Performance" with "Efficiency", then that's up to you. Who am I to argue.

A heat pump is a device which applies external work to extract an amount of heat QC from a cold reservoir and delivers heat QH to a hot reservoir. A heat pump is subject to the same limitations from the second law of thermodynamics as any other heat engine and therefore a maximum efficiency can be calculated from the Carnot cycle. Heat Pumps are usually characterized by a coefficient of performance which is the number of units of energy delivered to the hot reservoir per unit work input.

Efficiency is generally expressed as a ratio or percentage of work in : work out. The fact that the "work out" part transfers additional energy from an external source does not make the "work out" part more than 100%. The work done is 100% efficient, even if extra energy is transferred from an external source as a consequence of that work done.
