    The phrase you are looking for is "industrial design". Apple's products are well designed. Not all the buttons or bells or whistles, but well designed and accessible to the general public. There is nothing special about it. They spend a lot of time and money designing their products. Why are the results surprising?

    Actually a good example of this is looking into the microwave. If you are moving you can see more clearly through the mesh into the microwave.

    Beyond a certain age you can't hold the display that close to your face and see it clearly anyways. I've gotten to the point that I can't see clearly closer than about 8 inches anyways... :(

    I have all three (PS3, Wii, and Xbox 360). My daughter was a huge fan of the Wii but has since moved on to the Xbox. I play with all 3, but I think the Xbox is my favorite. I can't for the life of me imagine getting a Kinect. I will probably get Move, but it will have to impress me. I still love the Metroid prime series redone for the Wii.
