The last time I used Mozilla was around a year ago. I have a generic 350MHz box with 32 megs of RAM. It was too slow to be useable, though only just. Have things become better? I'd like to give it another shot, but I also want to know what to expect.
Absolutely. The Mummy wasn't a "good" movie in the usual sense (Pi, American Beauty, The Seven Samurai, Amadeus, etc). However, it was campy. Because of that, my friends and I absolutely love it. How can you not like lines like:
"I hear you've got some new friends, Benny."
"You're my only friend, O'Connell."
The Mummy is up there with Buffy the Vampire Slayer and The Shadow on the list of so-bad-it's-good movies. Hopefully, The Mummy Returns will join that list.

The other nice thing about the "dot syntax" is that it is widely used in other languages. Java, Eiffel, Python, etc., all call methods of objects by using object.method. The old style is far too reminiscent of screwing with pointers in C, which I always found to be a bit of a nuisance, personally.
I find that while there are nice things about C++, it is too cumbersome a language for me to use effectively. That's why I prefer languages like Java and Python - my coding time is much faster in that language, and I don't have to think about things like pointers, memory, leaks, etc.
Admittedly, I haven't used any implementation of Object Pascal a lot, but I haven't really liked what I tried. Pascal is best suited as an introductory procedural language.
just curious, but wouldn't 32 megs be enough? I've got a RedHat 6.x system on a different computer, and 32 megs is more than enough for most things on it.
To hell with that. If you're not using Red-Hat you must be some airy-fairy, tree-hugging, anti-globalization-raving Debian user. In which case I don't want you polluting my distro.
Easy. Do you prefer to pay for something, or not to pay for something? I prefer not to. I don't care that it's not legal so long as there's basically no chance of being caught.
From what I understand (I'm Canadian, but half my family's British), they drive these vans around and can apparently detect signals from an unlicenced television.
Really? I tried out Mozilla around a year ago...it rendered things nicely, and had sane font support (finally!), but it was unusable on a stock 350MHz, 32-meg machine. Maybe it was just that version?
As it is, I'm using Opera right now, and it's good and mostly stable.
I guess he panicked.
Deep Space 9 was the worst of the lot.

I'm expecting 0.9.9g16p2.

Ah, my days of porn as a teenager came back beautifully.

My former ISP had this webpage about how they would help you promote your website by creating targeted mailing lists from usenet addresses.
They deserve what they get. Somehow, I think it's sorta fitting.
Yeah? I first started using Slackware when it was at 3.2. That wasn't *so* long ago, was it?
Well, okay, four years.
I found some of my posts from early 1998, when I first started posting to rec.games.roguelike.adom.
Damn, I got in some good flamewars. And hell, I didn't do too badly, either. *strut* I didn't know I had it in me...
The best quote? One of the posters described my newbie self like this:
"He's inexperienced, but he does not lack clue."
Aww.

Tnx.
Well, other than the fact that neither C, C++, or Java have the issues that Pascal does.
Delphi is an implementation of Object Pascal.
Look, I don't mind Pascal, and I love OO, but Object Pascal is really a beast to behold.
There's a Saskatoon Linux Group? Damn. I didn't know that, and I've been using Linux for the better part of four years now...
Nah. Nothing beats the cannibalism sketches. Those are downright offensive. :)
I should hope not. Pedophilia is absolutely loathsome, and...
Oh wait. You forgot a comma.
You know, when you're playing with local symphony and someone's cell goes off in the audience? That gets noticed.
But if you've had three sports stores in the same location close down, what makes you think that yours will actually succeed?
I'll say. The number of slashdot accounts is just insane.

I think that's the basic mentality.
I clicked on the expensive ones. heh. I hope a lot of other people did, too.

Why the hell are you posting the same thing to every zip owner's comment? Jesus fucking Christ.
