    I dispute that. Possession of CP gives pedophiles an outlet that doesn't harm a child. I believe the existence of that outlet would save many, many children. Far more than would be abused by people hoping to sell such pictures. Furthermore instances of child abuse would be easier to track and stop.

    Calculating a differential turn radius is one of those things humans have a really hard time with but a robot can do in an instant. The hard bits are those requiring judgement and fine-grained movement. Like, how likely is that child to escape his mother and run into the street? Is that car door about to open? Is that guy going to run this red light?

    So imagine you're a racing company. A big one. You have fingers in every pie from demolition derbies to dirt bikes to those 2,000 horsepower sprint races. You've got stock cars, Formula 1 monsters, and banged up heavily reinforced pickups. You may save money by making a stock car that can compete in F1 but in the end you risk losing because your car couldn't cut it in the right field. Now the F-22 is like a formula one car. Fast, very expensive, highly specialized. In its domain it's the best in the world. But you would lose a 500 lap nascar race in one. So you don't build as many and you use them only where they belong.

    I used to believe in the classical theory of economics but a decade of trickle-down failure under Bush pushed me away from that. Now I'm not sure. But one thing you said isn't completely correct: The government can spend money it didn't get from citizens by issuing bonds.

    Obama has been looking for ways to release money into the economy as stimulus. I would much rather see it given to teachers than spent making and expending explosives where brown people live.
