Slowing to a crawl? Luxury! On driver, I managed to drive into the side of the building, then get sucked inside it! you could drive around but with no floor, and with the feeling that you were falling down. you could see pedestrians in the distance. Eventually it would crash and i`d have to reboot. GTA would let me drive into a building, which was pointed to by an arrow, and instead of finishing the missing i could only wander around inside, not being able to see exactly where i was, and with the game never realising i`d finished the mission. Given that the levels are too big, which no save points, it was very annoying. I wont be buying gta 2.
A lot of other psx games have bugs. Sometimes its like playing on an amiga.
Americans have never really been any good at writing console software though. Not being funny or anything, but all the good amiga/64/spectrum stuff was written by Europeans, and most of the best Megadrive/Snes stuff was written by the Japanese. American coders wrote all that spacequest/civilisation/wing commander stuff that was high on graphics and stuff, but low on fast, slick side of things. Given that the x-box is supposed to be a console and not a pc (heh - discuss!), i`m not sure what you yanks are going to do with it!
If I worked at Sony/Sega/Nintendo, i`d be trying to get Jeff Minter an x-box developement kit. The `Curse of Minter` is enough to finish off just about anything.
Nice special effects, cartoony backdrops etc, but not very stimulating...which was (IMO) the whole point of planet of the apes - classic short story material.
And wasnt the cheesy 60s batman with the rubber shark far more entertaining than Burtons one? (only my opinon, naturally...)
Hmmm sort of reminds me of chris crawford. he ran a one-man mag going on about game design, why most games are crap. He even slagged off doom, even though i dont think any of his games can hold a candle to it. Has he stopped complaining about how bad games are and how everyone is getting it wrong, and more importantly, has he decided how to do it right? No need to hold my breath, i feel...
I thought the European declaration of human rights protected some of the freedoms this bill seeks to remove. There are a few cases like this going through the courts at the mo. Should be interesting. Looks like the one weakness of PGP is that it ties public keys to email addresses - perhaps that field should be left blank?

I think hes missed the internet bandwagon. Perhaps he should tour with David `didnt you use to be David Bowie?` Bowie or something?

i dont understand the connection between isp`s and (presumbably pgp type private) keys? Why would your isp have your private key?
