Okay, nobody has posted this yet, and I hate soudling like a total looney tune, but here goes:
FACTNet has posted some very serious concerns about the presence of actual subliminal messages in Battlefield Earth, aloing with information on others ways the Co$ is planning on making money/new recruits off this film.
Do yourself a favor and go read what they have to say.
I seriously doubt that everyone who goes to see this film will be instantly transformed into a Scientologist, but doesn't the idea that this is exactly what the Co$ is trying to do leave a bad taste in your mouth as well?
My bet was that the next Trek series was gonna be Starfleet Academy: 90210...
On the up side though, I won't have to gouge my eyes out with a rusty spoon...
Personally, I think that if they're going to keep churning out Star Trek series, they should map them out more coherently (like a five year plan ala B5).

That would be a valid argument if no one had actually written their own home brewed games. If memory serves, a few people have...
BTW doesn't it seem like this sort of thing (legal weight throwing around) just draws more attention to the emulators? I never heard of UltraHLE until Nintendo pitched a fit. Now I could get a copy easily...
Funny this should come up. I dumped Altavista as of yesterday, when I tried Google. I was trouble finding information on a drug a friend had been put on and remembered that I was supposed to try Google out. I'm NOT going back...

Is that there is a problem right now with subliminal messaging in a movie. Not being covered by anybody either...
Battlefield Earth Allegations
Imagine it: a list you could subscribe to that would keep track of morally questionable people to be auto-removed fromy our DNS...
I met Stoll once... Very thoughtful guy, almost killed someone with a yo-yo too. Definetly cool.
Has this been verified by anyone else? The ZD article doesn't really cite anything, and it *is* a ZD article after all...
We're talking hundereds of gigs a sec over a line like that. Kinda puts DSL to shame...
Uswest.net does exactly the same sort of thing. Their account setup program is java based, and tied into Netscape.
.net though, you can get them to do a manual registration if you push hard enough, or you can also register online.
.net's online registration let you enter any activation code you might have to get the proper price plan...
The difference is that it functions with Win 3.X, 9X, and NT along with some MACs...
In the case of
Perhaps Qwest offers these options?
All I have to say on the subject:

Competition is a good thing...
The link goes to an article on The Register about Via's 1394 plans...
Just the excuse to buy an Orb drive...

You should be ashamed of yourself... Do you know how embarassing it is to be seen shooting orange juice out your nose? I do now.
