Yes their salary is higher but if they're working many more hours then they're paid less. People need to start talking about the hours people have to put in to earn their wage.
Oh and they forced Google+ on everyone who really only wants their search or Gmail. Face it G+ was a failure but they're pushing that shit down people's throats.
Pennsylvania. Which, may be similar but maybe not. I lived in the middle of no where so I didn't bike to work but I biked around my home in the snow. In fact we made a ramp to jump and land out bikes in 4ft of snow. It was awesome. Obviously you should your common sense when deciding whether to cycle or drive. If it's deadly cold out, maybe you should leave the bike at home. I'm fortunate to live in area now that if I can't cycle or walk to the train station I can get a cab for little money. So unlike when I was in PA, I don't own a car now which, while I miss racing around, does genuinely feel better than having one. I have more money than all my friends who drive and no stress about car maintenance and less stress with dickhead drivers.
It's healthier and it's more fun. The idea that the car equals freedom is pretty much dead these days if you live anywhere with a dense population. Cars are for the fat and lazy.
Mobile phones should not require software like Norton anti-virus so Android's already failed there. But i don't think this tackles a bigger concern. A lot of apps ask for too many permissions and user's data is taken. You should be able to manage individual permissions, At a guess Google isn't going to do anything about that.
A company with employees has to make money at some point. I don't blame them for looking for ways to monetise Ubuntu. They should do that because it's better to have stronger alternatives to Windows and as much as some people hate it, you can't make the best product for no money at all.
Perhaps Ubuntu is doomed to fail for targeting the desktop more than the server. But someone has to do it. They have made some mistake recently but it's nice someone is trying to do something different rather than just making Linux into Windows.
I'm on Ubuntu now and there is a good chance I'll move to Mint or Debian next but they have given a lot of years of good use so I will probably throw some money their way.
I assume most of it goes to someone else, seeing how the bottom option is basically a "give it to Canonical" option. But with their defaults, they appear to want you to give a little to everyone.
I did say at least. Realistically, it probably won't be but humans as a whole are pretty good at inventing shit. that and it would be at least usable for some games if they could at least guarantee broadband will maintain a minimal ping with decent bandwidth. So then it can be like mobile gaming where it just has a bunch of shit that only people who don't like games play.
How are they proven on the xbox? They're only ahead of Sony because they launched a year early. Had they launched at the same time and everything else stayed the same, Sony would have beaten them despite all the bad PR and the higher price. The xbox isn't terribly popular outside the North America or the UK and as thhings are they're only just barely ahead of Sony. Oh and the xbox was severely ownded by the Wii. All I see is a console that got lucky.
They know they don't have to please OEMs because your average user won't buy into Linux and they think there are too many tight-fisted companies and poor people for Apple to gain a massive marketshare and if they can kill off OEMs then they can lock down windows and make you their super bitch.
That may be the case but that doesn't mean we should just stick with a flawed method of judging people based on hours put in just because it can be hard to judge people based on results.
I agree certain jobs where you should be banned from smoking at work or even coming in stinking of smoke but you should still be able to smoke at home. I dislike smoking but so long as it's legal then it's discrimination.
I hate smoking personally but this sort of restriction is discrimination, imo. You should not be able to have laws that stop you from hiring people for using legal products unless there is a clear case that it will hinder performance (like alcoholism). America is definitely not the land of the free now.
So you think if the government wasn't involved at all they wouldn't work together and form duopoloies and other things to artifically inflate the price?
Also if it were completely free they should have to negotiate land usage with every single land owner. Do you think people won't realise the free market potential there or that this will become an excuse to inflate prices?
Doesn't make a difference. People put loads of personal info on Facebook including their real name and they still act like dickheads. People that want to take anonymity away have zero proof that being anonymous actually makes a difference and social media as a whole as proven them wrong.

The US can go pound sand.
They've definitely used their search engine to push a browser that by passes a system's security model in order to boost their marketshare.

Yeah shame on them for turning around and fixing a security issue in days and enabling an update method that ensures everyone will have the fix.
If you can't notice that Firefox is faster too then you're blind.
You may be right if Motorola hadn't be doing the same thing or did you forget the xbox and windows ban from awhile back?

They're not interested in people having an opinion. They want good little consumer whores.
Their service won't be viable for at least 10 more years. So it's not worth anything.
It's far better than the usual fines they get which are pocket change to the company and therefore don't teach them a lesson.
And given how much a citizen, who has far less money, gets fined for sharing MP3s, I'd actually say $500 per email is not enough.

How did the government facilitate Microsoft's monopoly? I don't recall them mandating that I use Windows.
So you think if the government wasn't involved at all they wouldn't work together and form duopoloies and other things to artifically inflate the price?

No one really talks about Gates, so i think you're wrong.

The guy is dead too. I suspect he wouldn't have released the maps app in iOS6 ln its current state and yet that has happened.
