8gb is holding the OS so you don't have the whole 8gb. Apps aren't exactly small these days and neither is my music collection. I have an old 8gb ipod touch and even when it was new it felt absolutely tiny. I think Max Payne alone was nearly 2gb is size.

I think it varies a lot. Some people probably do genuinely need good people and therefore it is about skills and they pay for it to ensure they retain you. But I've seen Java developers getting paid only a couple thousand more than people I know who work in a stores room packing things to ship off somewhere.

That's the problem. We don't necessarily need more visas. The ones we have need to go to those who actually need them.

No, I mean the security (not the ps3 itself) has served it purpose by making it take this long for them to reach this point. Had people broke the security straight away that would be bad for sony but it took them a few years to reach their first break through and 6 years to get to this point. This will help a lot of people that want to do other things with their PS3 which is a good thing. But the ps3 also won't have the rampant piracy the psx had just because of this. Everyone will be moving on within a year or two I suspect.

Windows 8 is down right appauling and even Windows 7 and that lame ass UAC crap gets in the way too often. Why should Vim, for example, be locked from using folders in it's own directory just because I'm not running as administrator? Microsoft has to realise that they got their way and locked people into their systems. Unfortunately they screwed up and locked them into specific versions and they're scared that the situtation will reach a point where any option is viable and therefore they are excluded.

That's why we've got VB6 in Windows 8. There is no other reason other than by not doing that people are left having to build from scratch and there are far better non-Microsoft solutions out there.

The biggest problem with internet news reporting is everyone is blowing their wad to be the first, you get a lot of innacuracy and general poor quality.
