    I was thinking about about things related to competition and the personal/group development of participants
    stuff related to money works too.

    maybe it's a lesser of two evils way to handle those human instincts, maybe it's even a positive when done right.

    I wouldn't know about HSBC like the sibling AC said, but Citizens seems to have relatively intelligent security practices.
    Thing is, even big banks often aren't available in certain parts of the country.

    I am not a lawyer, but:

    contracts requiring illegal acts can't be enforced*. yeah, that would probably fall under unconscionable in general

    * sex in contracts can be a no-go because of similarities to prostitution.

    nothing says states can't stick with federal legal tender, they just can't make up their own unless it's gold/silver

    "coin money and regulate the value thereof" as one of Congress' powers means the Feds aren't so restricted. I guess paper currency would fall under debt

    actually, the House and Senate can pass different versions of a bill, but then it goes to a conference committee. something could go wrong at this step as well.

    abuse of riders/amendments is a problem, but what's the legalese for "one thing at a time"? That's another problem.

    Yes, the Constitution is often very clear. The literal wording doesn't make reasonable exceptions like that; if it did, the document wouldn't be so clear anymore.
    Yeah, taking it too literally and making up exceptions both seem like bad ideas

    Sometimes it isn't clear enough, especially when dealing with situations or technology the Founders hadn't envisioned.

    Amendments to add or remove a reasonable exception wouldn't fly because of the group negatively affected.

    a lot of media coverage focuses on analyzing who's winning/losing rather than discussing issues. That's probably why.

    Yes there's actual homosexual behavior.

    yes, some people are overly dramatic about it.
    Getting bullied seems like a nerd thing (that fits with your "slightly autistic", I suppose)
    A lot of the media hype I see is about bullied LGBT's, another actual issue.

    Yeah, it's bullshit when fighting back gets you in as much if not more trouble (if fighting back doesn't lead to death or major physical injury)
