I did read that, don't assume. Also don't assume anything Google does is for the benefit of anybody except Google. Google is a business and it still amazes me that people believe, with a straight face, that they won't shaft over everybody if corporate conscious comes between them and a buck.
Good points but a lot of speculation on Google's intentions. I think it'll be like everything else they've done for open source. Embrace, Extend and then Emprision (sic) much like "we don't like Java so we'll make our own" It's the Bender philosophy. Sure OpenSSL may have an older API/ABI however what's the driving factor for something new? There's just no way I can trust Google after the NSA revelations and their incessant tracking crap. First it was Facebook and all their damn trackers now Google Metrics, Google Analytics on almost every fucking webpage out there. Sorry do no evil is no longer valid at Google and I look at any attempt at embracing or forking and already existent open source project as suspicious and motivated by some shit that'll eventually get me condom ads.
Sophisticated ones yes, probably do that. The run of the mill annoy everybody buzz whigmagig will fall like a dove during hunting season. If you pump enough RF power at something it'll loose control signal or fry, it's easy enough to do just like peeps in a microwave.
Also, this was the 70s and despite what we think about the FCC they're not the brightest bunch out there. You can still buy linear amps for Ham Radio configuration it's just that the guy selling them doesn't know if it's going on a Ham or CB set.
The problem with the Fed Gas Tax is, well it's the Feds who would be in charge of divvying up the funds and I wouldn't trust them to hold my wallet for five minutes. If it actually went for fixing the lousy fucking roads and bridges in this country, then fine raise it 20 cents but once they're fixed drop it back and that's the problem because once these money grubbing assholes get your hooks into you they never let up.
So being in the nice sunshine makes you feel good. Wow, all those PE coaches and Rec Center Activity directors were all right. Not to mention my mom who always kept telling to go play outside. Or was that play on the freeway? I can't remember.
Back in the CB Radio days we had linear amplifiers. Of course amps weren't "legal" but then I guess having a 50 foot tower with a Moonraker 4 wasn't too kosher either. I had a 2KW boomer in my truck and it could make fluorescent lights at gas stations light up. I think for these little pests it's time to dig out the old Cobra Base Station, the D104 and the old boomer with the appropriate dead load and make a few gnats fall out of the skies. 10-4 good buddy.
Drones for Military purposes = good Drones flying over my house because of some nosy fucking neighbor or the local police are sniffing around for something going on = bad.
There's very few vestiges of privacy anymore and all these fucking drones overhead are another way to fuck with you.
I can go buy that old Soviet era S-75 system and put it in my front yard. The only question is can I attach it to my garden hose? Wait, I wonder if I have to get my HOA to approve that first?
I understand that but in the case of it being Google who has a tendency not to make their technology, like Android, forkable. It's a one way street with them and I wouldn't trust any security implementation blessed by them. If it were Red Hat or even Microsoft I'd trust it more.
At Borat Computerz wez use the bestz componentz from Siberia. Only the bezt zlave er I mean dedicat3d workerz r used. We no copyz Amerikan computerz we only do for muther Ruzia.
Actually no, these are the idiots who come and seize your property with little suspicion or on the orders of the jackbooted thugs who want your stuff and sell it off without due process. They're the ones what to make your decisions on everything, to make sure that big brother is watching you and taking all of your hard fought earnings all in the name of social justice where your individuality doesn't matter but the collective good does. Of course by collective good that means you don't keep anything you earn.
Google forking OpenSSL into their own brand of NSA friendly, privacy snooping SSL. Why not just help the OpenSSL folks strengthen an already great product and assist in regression testing and validation as well? No grow your own and fragment the community you say?
Bird owners are now looking for alternative cage lining materials. Rumor has it copies of "O" magazine may be the best alternative to Computerworld because it's super-absorbent and has those scratch and sniff pages all the birds will like.
The Feds via the FCC don't want spectrum;that they've sold to be jammed in any way. They'd rather have obtuse rules and regulations to protect the "public" airwaves. The way I see it, I should also have the right not to be killed by some idiot on the road who decides that his right to text supersedes the fact that he's supposed to operate his vehicle in a safe manner. Now if this company does give them a list of customers, the knock on your door will be coming with a nice hefty fine. All of course in the name of keeping the airwaves clutter free so Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile and Sprint can basically charge you an arm and a leg for it.
What has happened with Truecrypt, I mean from a psychological perspective. It would appear as though the team had a nervous breakdown going pear shaped rather quickly. Certainly since the source is available it can be forked, screw that just rewrite it. There's not that much there.
Well that might have explained it but everybody I talked to at the time said it was based on Mitsubishi technology. Huh, I guess every car is somebody else's underneath.
I can't see how moving manufacturing to China will reduce quality. I think it may enhance it actually. Sure a lot of socialist swedes will be out of work but I won't ever own or lease a volvo again after my 2001 T70, defects, engineering issues (turbo falling out) and electrical problems all over. No thanks.

I'm surprised your guy didn't ask him if he Yahooed?

Dude, this was in the 70s fuck the 2.4Ghz spectrum, bleeding all over all frequencies was awesome.

What list is this? Is it exclusive or can anybody be kicked off?

Due Process is going out the window. That also includes defending yourself with the lawyer you choose. Recently the SCOTUS ruled amazingly enough that it was okay for the government to even seize assets that were in your lawyers hands to pay for legal fees. So now the system is rigged against you to the point where the Judge and the prosecution pick your lawyer for you. Good by freedom, hello club Fed.
That would be an administrative assistant you insensitive mad men clod!

At least it won't be a silent auction then because you'll know your competition.

It's the people because with more and more information exchanged in e-mail, that's where the dirty laundry is or more specifically the smoking gun.
I said one e-mail system, not one server.
