People who climb Mount Everest need hotels, rental cars and of course guides. Nobody seems to think providing those services is unethical, despite the death rate.
Though it could be more accurate to say that the Soviets sent support to the government of Afghanistan, in the same way the USA sent support to the government of South Vietnam.
If the USA had any influence over Iraqi elections, Maliki would've lost to Allawi. It's absurd to think the USA would choose the Iranian-influenced guy over the more secular guy. At any rate, the USA's real choice was Chalabi but they couldn't get anybody in Iraq to accept him.
These "traitors" will no doubt say they're loyal to the constitutional president of Ukraine who was deposed in a coup and himself went to Russia. Why wouldn't Russia like that? I'm sure if protests overthrow Putin they'll be happy to have soldiers who stay loyal to Putin.
The last hundred plus years of science defines matter and energy as different, denies the previously held law of conservation of matter, and instead uses the law of conservation of matter-energy. It's time for you to update your definitions.
Pick a team from each of the 63 games that you want to bet against. Offer two of their starting players a million dollars each to throw the game. Pocket the other $874 million.
I see now that a bunch of other people have said the same thing already, so let's pretend the above duplicate is to illustrate how annoying repetition is.
A drug that makes a criminal think they've been let off and gone on to live 50 years as a fine upstanding free citizen could be effective -- they'd be too used to being good to go back to being bad. Bound to work better than one that simulates prison time.
Distinguishing the major objects from countless minor objects is an awfully good reason. If you're labeling Pluto and Jupiter as a the same category of thing, your categorization system is hopelessly stupid.
Ceres, as well as Eris and probably lots of other trans-neptunian objects, are large enough to have an atmosphere and revolve around the sun and not another body. Defining atmosphere is tricky too.
Very few wolves build boats to colonize islands, nor are they nearly as effective of hunters as people are. The wolf doesn't have to worry about sustainability because it's too inept to fully destroy its own food chain.
Why isn't estate tax 100%? Why should countless future generations of a family who've done nothing to earn it never have to do a day of work while the rest of society suffers? Inherited wealth is as unfair as it gets.
Does it matter? Whether or the ruthless assholes prey on gender/race/orientation/hair/height differences because of personal prejudices or because they feel they gain advantage by it, they have to be stopped. (And whether it's opportunistic general malice or specific malice, they are able to harass minorities more effectively as racist/sexist slurs tend to be more hurtful than insults about hair length. Although of coursethat harassment should also be grounds for firing the harasser.)

If mirrors are so good at depth perception, why do they all have "objects in mirror are closer than they appear" printed on them?

Imagine if you could copyright steel designs like you can copyright software code. Would there be any need for patents anymore?
Even if the software is flawless, the world it's written for evolves so the requirements change.
Even google (google video) couldn't compete with youtube. That's why they had to buy it.

Finland was united. A large percentage of Ukraine would rather the Russians win, as evidenced by the 50% defection rate here.
Since when have movies been accurate? An air craft carrier is more iconic, so you can bet it'd be used for a movie.
That was about 2-3 years ago.
So why would anyone install Windows XP in the year 2011 or 2012? Couldn't they see the end coming?

The real problem I have with commercials is just that they repeat so many times. Could you watch that commercial 500 times and still enjoy it?
That's why most of America drives Chinese cars. Oh, wait...

The fundamental problem is that false results tend to be much more exciting than true ones, and people gravitate to the exciting.
For families who want two cars -- one commute car one family car -- it could make a lot of sense. Plus it's good for antisocial people like me.

Seems like they don't dispute any of her accusations, and readily endorse them.
