Not to rain on your parade, but expiring copyright would not prevent re-releases, in fact, they would encourage them, because each re-release resets the expiration counter for that specific release.
Hey, Avatar was a decent movie, i intentionally stayed away from all the hype as to not spoil my expectations, and hey, it worked, i liked it.
Sure, it's not the most original story, but it works, it's a family movie.
However, i did watch it in plain 2D cinema, i'm not buying into the stereoscopic shit.
You don't think history goes back further then 1918? Isn't that like you having a word for brain & then not using it?
As for the history of the 2 world wars, all i will say is get an education, there were more countries involved then France, the Brits & the US, there isn't a single one country responsible for the defeat of Germany in both wars, and you might want to read up on the history.
