If it is the system gui lock (the mouse still moves, but nothing works) thing your thinking of then remove/.hotfiles.btree every couple of days (or every time you reboot, if you actually turn off your Mac. Its a klugy work around, but better than the lock.
Just map you middle moust button to CMD+Click with whatever driver your mouse software uses. Safari seems to not need it mapped (but still works if it is). I needed to set it explicitly for FF.
Has sweet bandwidth allright, but you cant use it for anything out side the research network. So all those napster type progies wont get a bit of it, and its also not that usefull for general surfing. however, my friend sucked down a redhat iso in 12 minutes From The NRC's ftp to his machine in @ Carleton U.
Well, I agree with the artical that there are an abundance of problems with passport, its truly unfortunate that it could not be done better/independently. The idea of Passport seems like a great one that could indeed help users, and make them more secure. As the artical states most users use bad, and repeating passwords. Something like this would probably make those people more secure in the the long run. as the acutal vendor would not have access to the persons password. Unfortunatly it is deeply flawed. Oh well maby some "open" project will emerge, and provide a better verson of passport.
MS helped bail out the mac a while ago, and nothing too destructive came of that. This does not mean anything for Corel, really. They don't have to listen to a non-voting member.
The PS2 does not have binary compartibility. The IO in the PS2 is in fact handled by the old PS chip. All the PS2 uses to play PS games is run it through that -- circumventing the Emotioan engine, VU's, CPU and the like.
Well, now that one teenager wants one I must agree! This thing is Awsome to the Extreem!!!

That he did it and no one else bothered?
Seriously, if it does prove safe its a nice shortcut for admins forced to work with Win98.

Sega is, in Japan - at least, selling (renting) old Master System games. They may possibly see this as a threat to their profits from those games.
