    Perhaps it was a refernce to the fact that Hawking has ALS lives his life in a wheel chair, talks through a machine, etc. This does give him a first had perspective into the intersecion of human intellect and technology

    Thank you very much for deciding that for me. Maybe I want to free up screen real estate by switching to a higher resolution. Maybe I want all those annoying little dialog boxes to shrink so I have more room for that big image window, which I can resize and zoom in/out just fine without your help, but now you've scaled them right back up so they're in the way again.

    I'm sure you can make things whatever size you want be it in the form of a little slidder to change the size of everything or just lying and saying you have a monitor twice as big as it really is.

    What you saw in theaters was the original version. You notice how the lips matched the dialog? That is because the original language for the film is english. Dubbing it into japanese and then translating it back to english for your subtitles isn't going to make the movie any better.
    If you really want to strech it you could call it "anime" but it's still an american movie not something from japan.

    Why in gods name would they have to start over because they had previously used a different license? I also figured if you created something you could license it however the heck you wanted. For instance release it under the GPL and then grant another company the right to produce a closed source version. Your code is yours right?

    Now if they were using the GPL because they were using source from an already GPL'd program your right they'd have to reimplement the portions that were GPL'd and belonged to others.

    16 bits per clock for rambus vs 64 per clock for DDR so the clock speed isn't that big of a difference. Also increasing their clock speed by 50%(from 800) in 4 years doesn't sound that impressive. I'm sure that whatever the leading memory tech is will be pumping out a lot more that rambus would at 1200Mhz.
