I friend of mine gave me his HL2. He doesn't owns a desktop anymore. If he gives me his account details, he won't be able to play the other games that he owns and that runs well on his notebook.
Besides, the game is not cheap, and even if it was, this is about the principle of things, not about money (at least to me)...
For all those doubting our reports that Source/Steam would be coming to Linux, you can find confirmation in the UK's Telegraph and other news sites. An announcement from Valve itself is imminent.
And that is why we need LAN play. If I have 4 copies of the game, why shouldn't I be able to setup a local server and be happy with the product I bought?
A distro that accounts for your needs. The bias is in your head. You shouldn't use DSL to run a server. That is one example of improper distro selection. You shouldn't run Hardened Linux on your kids netbook. Thats another.
All the other meanings to my words where given to you
So you are telling us that the Apache crowd can't even choose a proper Linux Distro? I imagine you are confusing the existence of a nice gui on the Desktop edition with a badly-made Server one. No conection at all between those two possibilities...
should meet the “stringent” demands of hardcore gamers, thanks to its combination of two motion sensors, three axes gyroscope and three axes accelerometer.
Also, check out how the image keeps the same orientation as the controller on this video
You should suspect that wii uses cameras too... Think about it. How can you position something on space? You have to receive some signal from it. Witch kind of signal? MMM.. probably some electromagnetic radiation...
It is really easy. But the deafult theme acts as an invitation card. Everyone that tries the distro first seem it and *then* say "this is crap. I will change it". This kind of thought have an effect on how the distro is perceived bu general people
I agree with you 100%. But keep in mind that its been like 5 years that ubuntu is on the same spot. People do like some changes now and then!
IMO, the visual change didn't ditch the previous one. At least not on the desktop. Something still reminds me that it's still Ubuntu. OTH, the website changed radically!
I guess we are talking about zoom resize, not actual image resize. When you zoom in and out of the image, there is a rescale going on in memory. This rescale should take gamma into account, because is only for visual purposes.
People that uses photoshop usually checks the image out on true size from now and then, just to make sure they get the picture (pun intended).
No. The conclusion is that they seem to have figured out what drives people that give up and people that persevere. Its about the reason and not about the event on itself.
My case. Never bought anything from steam, wich is a shame. The concept, if done well, is rock solid and interesting.
Now I have a real problem. If steam comes to Linux, I will buy! :-) I'm thinking about getting one account per game.
Besides, the game is not cheap, and even if it was, this is about the principle of things, not about money (at least to me)...
Your reply sounds more like a hope than a fact... I don't have hope to see this changing

So, it's not official
Note that you can't lend, sell or give the game away to other people. It is stuck to you forever
Or you can *uninstall* the frickin' codec with a one liner ("sudo apt-get remove ").
The difference is that one options does not make much of a noise
I go like this:
I usually have three with me: home, (byke|car), (office|gym)
Wich means: what we (apple) do should be proprietay, but what other people do shouldn't
And that is why we need LAN play. If I have 4 copies of the game, why shouldn't I be able to setup a local server and be happy with the product I bought?

MNmm. How strong is the rumble feature on this thing?

Then I don't understand the connection between monitor gamma and the resize. Visualization should't have any impact on image resize....

You have been tagged troll not because of what you think, but because the way you say it. Huge difference.
