Frighteningly, the Australians seemed to have created a very promising piece of technology. Fortunately for us Americans, Cisco has already made moves to purchase the company.
Hate to see you guys get out of control down there...
The new TLDs serve only *one* purpose: to make money for the registrars. There's obviously no logic in the choices for the new TLDs (except that they attempted to spread the wealth evenly) due to the limited use that the new names innately have (I'm sure they're just tons of.museums out there), with.biz being the exception.
There are a lot of problems with those pictures though. For instance, in the picture of Quang Duc, they show the half-full can of gasoline right next to the lit fire! Stupid things like that could get him killed!
You have to imagine how you create fractions (which.0001 is) with integers, since that's all that 32 or 64 (or whatever number) bits can create. Python is forced to live with a set precision, which isn't always perfect.
"no ability" is a strong word. What Larry created was a language that worked excellently for what he wanted it for, and it grew from there. It wasn't until Perl's later years that people started using it for things he never designed it for (and probably could have never predicted).
Perl gets the job done. It really gets the job done. If that's not the mark of a good language, well, I'll leave you to your language designing.

This is why I only put my money in banks that use paper ballots to keep track of my money.
...no wait! That would be utterly stupid! To think that my money would be safer because it was on PAPER rather than data in a computer. WHAT CLUELESS MORON WOULD EVER THINK THAT.
It is such a narrow-minded suggestion that more CPU power is not needed. You've apparently never written a "slow" program or used "bloatware" that runs slower than you'd like.
Each step in processing power increases the possibilities of what a program can do and decreases the development time of that program (less time spent in optimization). Also look at how it affects programming languages used and how it decreases development time.
...or perhaps you'd like to go back to the day when everything was written in assembly?
By committing their felony, they've proven that they are not valid contributors to society. Their right to vote is only one of the many rights that they lose (and properly so).
Voting is only one of those lost rights. If you want that to change, you have to argue it in the complete context, discussing all of those rights.

This is a bit different. Movies or CDs are unique, whereas AOL and MSN are selling access to (essentially) the same service (internet).
Thanks for the well-written reply. Learn something new every day :)

"bschoate": you're a fscking luser!
How? You need to qualify this statement.
So Linux represents power and Sun is all wet? :)

They used Linux as the icon for the luxury tax square? Isn't that more suited for VeriSign (wtf they charge so much for prime numbers anyway?)?
Just use the appropriate ODBC driver (myODBC for example) and keep using your tools. Works fine.
"ST. IGNOCABLOUS" ... no, that won't work either..
Oh yeah, you did.

So you're saying that child molesters should be able to vote then?
It's not so pretty when everything is a default. That's how you get things like one-button mice.
Voting is only one of those lost rights. If you want that to change, you have to argue it in the complete context, discussing all of those rights.
Pretty disgusting to see a lighthearted joke used as a thread for hateful ones.
Superficial interpretation.
*fffwwoooooo....*!
Talk is cheap, and one of the world's richest men is merely talking.
How about this one?
No, you're just beating the electoral system and using it against the political parties that created it. I'm 100% for it.
