I have recently started torrenting again, and I dropped all large (http/ftp)downloads I've done recently into my torrents folder and searched Google for torrents with the same md5sum. ThePirateBay came up quite often.
I haven't seen a BIOS battery in a laptop. I have seen certain desktops (Dell Optiplex comes to mind) that don't clear the BIOS just because you removed the battery. I had to use the jumper instead. (I haven't seen those in laptops, either)
Wonderful! Then there isn't a single sovereign nation outside of the US - not a single nation could actually stand up to the force the US can project...

The EU, if you consider that a single country.
Russia might last half a year or so, if only because conquering Iraq in Desert Storm took a full month.
India's population would allow for a large resistance movement, but I am not sure it could support itself
Yes. If your engine can render at 120 fps, it can render the scene twice and combine the two images to add motion blur.
I guess the next question to ask is: "Do they do this already?"
Does any framerate greater than your monitor's refresh rate matter?

I know of at least one Windows 98 machine still in use, and repair G3 OS 9.2--OS 10.2 iMacs at work (even a OS7 PowerMac came in once).
You need to cut the cord at some point.
