    That's probably because breaking the DVD regions is the DMCA equivalent to jaywalking: It's just not ususally worth the effort to prosecute.

    I don't see why the conversion of carbon into biomass in any way negates their stated goals.

    This triggered a bloom of phytoplankton, which doubled their biomass within two weeks by taking in carbon dioxide from the seawater. The dead phytoplankton were then expected to sink to the ocean bed, dragging carbon along with them.

    Kind of insane really since being an MCSE doesn't mean shit if Microsoft crashes and burns and isn't around to write patches for you anymore.

    Pleasant though that mental image may be, I don't think MS will fall that hard unless something really bad happens to the world.

    Just broadcast the (encrypted) data out into the void. When you need to retrieve it, simply invent a FTL drive and jump as far as the desired data will arrive shortly after.
