    But Adblock, NoScript, and Flashblock cause noticeable speed-ups, especially if your Internet connection is lousy.

    Function over form. My first priority is something that allows me to waste time efficiently, and then something that renders correctly.

    Not that IE8 is such a program.

    Regarding the Inizio, FTA:

    While the date for release is still a bit sketchy, the first vehicle already has an owner - it was sold for $100,000 at a Sam's Club.

    The same goes for hardware with PowerPC processors, those things keep living even after they've been off the market for years...

    G3 iMacs are dying of HDD failure these days, which isn't related to the processor.
    eMacs, on the other hand, have motherboard issues.

    Which would be passed on to the consumer.

    Kindle isn't a must-have item, though. And it is already expensive. Passing too much of the costs onto the consumer could be fatally detrimental to the platform.

    Tesla Whitestar (AKA: Model S): $60,000
    Zap Zebra: $11,700 (There are a few of these in my area. 25 mile range on one charge, 40 mph)

    There is Chromium for Windows, and it doesn't come with all of Google's tack-ons.

    It's only called "Chromium" because it's an unofficial build

    You seem to think Chromium is to Chrome what Minefield is to Firefox (Can't that be represented as Chromium:Chrome::Minefield:Firefox?)
    I am pretty sure that Chrome is more of a branded fork, like IceCat (Iceweasel?) is to Firefox.
