I disagree, based on presumed innocence. If you accuse me of infringing on your patent, you should be required to provide proof, as would be the case in any other legal proceeding. If I'm charged with a crime, the burden is on the prosecution to prove my guilt. Consider also a civil case. if you accuse me of being negligent in keeping my floor clean, causing you to slip and fall, the burden is on the plaintiff to prove that the floor really was a mess and I was negligent in not cleaning it.
As of January 21, 2014, LogMeIn Free will no longer be available. To continue using remote access, you will need to purchase an account subscription of LogMeIn Pro....
I've been using LogMeIn Free for years. I'm not a heavy user by any means. I used it to remotely control one of the home PCs when I'm out of town (which isn't often). If they want to take away the free access, fine. It's their product, they can do whatever they want with it.
But not giving any notice? That conveys a sense of contempt. It wasn't long ago when they caught hell from their userbase for re-directing their login to a page in India (log.in) without bothering to tell anyone. I'll be sure to recommend against their use for any future employer.
MOD THIS UP. We may have been suckered by the news media (once again) trying to make much ado about nothing. Show us a story about MS deleting software people actually installed. THAT would be a story.
If I had the resources, I'd immediately launch a competitive, cross-platform VOIP/video service that plays nice and clean up by poaching Skype customers. It would take a massive, worldwide marketing campaign and lotsa servers and bandwidth, but the market is hungry for a competitor and this is a great catalyst for one.
Sorry to say, but the business model at Dell is changing and they no longer offer much in the way of customization. They are actually moving away from Just In Time.
Over decades of gainful employment I have signed up for health insurance plans numerous times. I've never, ever, been asked any questions about my health or anything else for that matter when signing up for health insurance at any employer.
The author says "big data" is ruining healthcare. Who are the assholes taking over the system in the US? It's our BIG FUCKING GOVERNMENT with that albatross OBAMACARE that's causing people's plans to get cancelled and rates to go up.
And therein lies the problem. Obama gets a free pass on everything. The poor guy just doesn't know what the hell his own administration is doing. IRS? Clueless. The Obamacare meltdown? What meltdown? Benghazi? What's that, a drink?...
It sounds to me like it sucks pretty bad, especially with all those freezes you mentioned. I think Canonical can do a lot better. What you described sounds very disappointing.

In other words, "global warming", now called "climate change". Junk science and perhaps the greatest hoax ever, complete with expensive policies pushed on us by greedy politicians.
I'm often amazed by how buggy Google software is. They have more money than they know what to do with and yet they put out some of the buggiest software. Google Drive is a disaster. I love Google Earth and use it daily but it crashed about 3 times yesterday. Maybe they should invest some of that money in quality control.
Even the term "authorized cable" is enough to make me cringe. It's a FUCKING CABLE. It's the very simplest of electronic devices (if you can even call it a "device"). It has connectors, connected by stranded wires. That's all there is to it. And yet even the humble CABLE can't escape Apple's walled garden. What's next? "Unauthorized" headphones?

No, it's today. I got the email too:

I was wondering how far I'd have to scroll down to see someone call BS on this. Wish I had mod points now.
Sounds good but I'll wait a few years.
Most hairstylists are women. Should we wring our hands about that too?
Because everything else our glorious government tries to control turns to gold.
If every 3-letter agency in the federal government wasn't so busy spying on us, I might get it. But nowadays, I don't trust anyone from Washington.
I won't. Hopefully more and more people will learn what they're doing and choose to shop elsewhere as well.

Not yet, but they're working pretty hard at it.
I wouldn't call the guys who wrote the best search algorithm known to man "lousy" at what they do. Perhaps unconventional, but certainly not lousy.

I shudder to think of what those might be. More change for change's own sake I suppose.
I don't know what you mean by modern resolutions but I'm quite content with my dual-monitor, 1920 x 1080 setup and my graphics card seems to handle it just fine. Display Port also comes with DRM: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DisplayPort#Digital_Rights_Management_.28DRM.29
I value the freedom to do what I want with what I own so I don't use it. I'm perfectly happy with my DVI displays and will be for years to come.

Apparently a small network, at least I hope for his sake.
True. I've been running Xubuntu on a Thinkpad T60 (since Natty) with no problems.
