In my high school days I heard the story of a device that would give a Volkswagen Beetle 200mpg. It appears that the device was bought by and oil company. Can anyone confirm this?
As long as you can do your job, don't say anything. Your boss has come to rely on you and is acting very immaturely. Just do your job to the best of your ability the the "handicap" given to you and forget about the extras. The fact that this has happened to you should give you an idea of your worth to the company and take this as a reverse compliment.
Take the ones that work the best and give them tp charity or to people that you know that could use them. The ones that don't work very well can be recycled, call your local town or call the maker of those laptops and see what programs that they have.
To quote Nancy Reagan, "Just say NO!" Seriously, your files are proprietary and private. If you could find a dummy Excel file that you could send them, that might help them and would certainly save you. If you don't have an old dummy file for them, maybe you could hire a data entry temp to create on or look online.
