    What companies like Apple spends on lawyers I spent on armaments. Since then I now own an aircraft carrier (full complement of aircraft and fully manned) and I can invade a small country, and of course give the appropriate treatment for lawyers :)

    ATI have a better hardware, but their drivers are pure, total crap. It's like buying a Ferrari and put a mediocre pilot to drive. After many problems with drivers I gave up buying a new Radeon and now I use a GTX580

    An iPhone is the same as a luxury car: a status symbol. You do not you think that a million dollars car costs all of this to produce, right? And yet people buy these expensive/exclusive cars, to show they are "more important" than others.

    Of course I can buy RAM overseas like anyone. But when the shipment arrives at brazilian customs, the package is taxed in 60% or more. That and if package does not simply disappear in the customs.

    "Here" is Brazil. To buy 16GB of RAM here, I need to spend more or less US$243. And it's important you know that the average salary here is much smaller than in the U.S. or Europe.

    Is just more "shiny" to create a new language to solve all problems of the universe(tm) and for awesomeness than focus on correct bugs into the existent (and working) system.

    Okay, I'm lost in this one. If the goal of the new language is "to be as fast as C + +", so why not just use C + +?

    And worse, to supposedly "protect" the programmer from himself (pointers are evil, GAHHHHH)? If the developer does not know how to make a good program in one language, it will still not know how to do in any other language.

    Thanks, it's better with pictures to see for himself whether the scientist is talking nonsense or not.

    My educated guess is that the scientist may have actually seen rocks being carried by the wind, as the atmosphere of Venus is very dense and therefore could make stones to even float if they are porous or light enough. But it is interesting to think the opposite too, if they are really life forms then how they survive the conditions of Venus?

    I think is not too difficult... One way is simply count how many ads the page have, one page with 15, 20 ads from many sources is a good sign of problem.

    I thought the same thing. The question would be to: Is possible to make an SoC with the performance of a desktop PC? And I do not know if doing so would be justified, given that the main advantage of a desktop PC is able to make hardware upgrades.
