Evolution is on a crude form the hability of one organism to adapt and survive on your environtment. A capacity for guide this adaptation for me is just another way to get sucess on adaptation
Is just like a big hydroplant alternator: a hydreletric alternator needs a "kick" to start and waterfall to mechanic rotation, but once started he uses a small part of you own energy to run the magnets. And is not a perpetual machine because needs a waterfall
I Agree. Just imagine a lander with a one-year power source (very very pessimistic scenario, as example voyager spacecraft is STILL operational using RTGs after 20 years), he can explore mars on many conditions
Well done north-americans (i'm american too, but not from EUA. America is not ony north-america). Now, You have to learn to be more nice with the rest of the world, we (the rest of world) do not like much of people who try to impose by force.
Well, EUA do not have anymore enougth Mana/Power/Karma/Energon/magik/energy cells/experience points to rule the world. Maybe is better to north-americans thinking on how to be a nicer guys.
We can use my desktop at work as example. Is a Pentium4 2.8GHz, 1GB RAM and a 80GB SATA as HD. Of course they run slackware 12 with KDE 3.5.8 fine, but the same machine using XP have a lot more fast drawing windows and applications (video, 2D, interfaces with a lot of buttons, combos and etc), no 3D into this comparation because is a too much driver-dependent issue.
Well, on a fast machine is more difficult to see any diference. But try to use a low-end machine (XP or 2000 ok? not Vista) with many open windows, is easy to see the window manager painting windows on window moving.
Finnaly the X Server will (maybe) get the same performance of windows interface? I know about the network transparency but c'mon! any normal user NEVER use this and this feature kill any chance of a fast graphical interface
I believe the problem Aldrin says is another one: Is the possibility of things gone wrong and the explorers will stay trapped on Mars, like one Mars film where one of crew stay for a year on planet because malfunction of return capsule. The first crew for Mars may need to assume this risk, and if possible having a "plan B" to long or permanent settling on Mars if something gome wrong when they try to return.
After all, no one antivirus can protect from unknown virus, for example here have many crappy "virus" (bankers stealers from script kiddies) not found on any other country. The best protection still is a educated and alert user.

Molten metals always can be separated by metallurgic process, just like the normal process to raw ore. And reused

Using trash as fuel is more interesting than using coal or oil.

Friend of MSCP? As example, many games needs "x" for windows XP and 1,5x~2x for Windows Vista. I see you can't understood figurative language
Another MSCP? A better(?) UI is not a good deal if you need the double of resources to do the same things. Simple that
Nothing new. Damn, I expected a better performance on Windows 7, but I see i will need to change to Linux when XP support gone out.
... after all, is a Phoenix! :)
Maybe on next martian summer a nasa technician will receive a signal "I'm still alive!"

Wellfare to all is a reality on Brazil at long time. Is not perfect of course, but is better than nothing
Okay people, changing to a question: If X server can be faster, how I can make then faster? And using KDE as window manager please.

Uhh... I are talking about Win2000/XP desktop, not Vista.
Is still slow as a turtle if you compare with windows desktop. This is the point.
Whoops! A MSCP fount this... :) tag -1 as you wish, .NET STILL is a big, ugly, bloated, bizarre piece of useless junk.
I agree. Cap is reasonable IF and ONLY the marketing do not promess "unlimited access".
Finnaly the X Server will (maybe) get the same performance of windows interface? I know about the network transparency but c'mon! any normal user NEVER use this and this feature kill any chance of a fast graphical interface
...hell? You need to be crazy to use .NET for anything
I already have one F-22 fully armed, a F-14 fully armed too and a SR-71 for recon. (just do not ask the scale).

I can't say this better. Norton == virus
