Giving slashdot free design work. You should be charging mad money for this.
CmdrTaco, brilliant financial move, how else can you get dozens of designers to review at a meager cost of a laptop. !!!!!!!!!!!!
Which is mostly what "enterprise" software is. I've been using Spyce (python server pages) for a few clients and it's a very decent tool. There is however a serious lack of standardization that a true enterprise technology needs. In Java there isn't a 100 different ways to do something right and it helps in commodotizing the Java programmer which in our geek eyes is a Bad Thing but in the view of corporate money it is a Good Thing.
someone should post a torrent of all of them!

One, if you are from a not well known CS program you've got an uphill battle. Sure once you're got 10 years of experience no one looks at your degree, BUT those 10 years might end up being painful. Look at it this way, right now you're competing with off-shore resources who are at most $25 an hour (high end) and about $10 an hour on the bottom end. How do you compete? By not being a commodity!!!!
Except that US citizens are NOT required to have photo ID. Requiring photo ID to vote would mean such a requirement.
Weeeellll, take a look at papersplease.org and see that this is a contested issue (yes I know it's not for voting, but how different is that) with the current score--> Evil Government 1 : Free People 0
On the other hand I recently found out that I am registered in two different precincts about 15 miles apart, I could have double counted my vote without very much effort if I had wanted to. No one checked my ID.
I brake you copy paste silliness!!!

Ah I know exactly how they are going to do it. Look at these stories floating up about Al Qaeda's use of the internet. They will be screaming shut down the internet, shut it down, they are going to "terrorize" us.

You can do this with emacs by exporting your screen and sending a copy of a frame over to the other X screen. Only issues is that only one person can use the mouse at the same time. Not a new idea but a reasonable implemintation.

The open source comments above are crap, (sorry) anyway I am all for the CPSE concept that you talk about. This is a great idea, this will get rid of 80% of the import workers(think, test given twice a year with limited number of spots with required proof of certain number of units of Computer Science/Engineering/Math required schooling in a US accreditted institution) It will also get rid of the fools who think just because they can write code they should.
Folks,
I love mathematics and music but they should not be put together like this. The mathematical models to produce music that sounds good (Bach, Mozart, Brahms etc...) would be far more complex than Platonic Dice. You may as well be throwing random notes down on paper, oh wait that's what this is. I'm sorry this is the music equivalent of the guy covering himself in paint and jumping or rolling on the canvas. Sure, someone might like it, but it's still crap.
Now if someone just cleaned up the syntax and became a DHH style, cool guy poster child for it, then we'd be talking.

I think that would be most ironic.

Notice how it's Britany spears and other fake musicians who are pawns of the RIAA in this, real musicians know what's best for them.
Hmm, yet another moron who has never written a line of code
There is a newer version that is used for the humanities majors at CMU that is C++ based, http://csis.pace.edu/~bergin/karel.html
