is this necessarily a bad thing? while i would be the first to say that it would be better to use the map to find a cure for MS or some other disease...is it necessarily wrong to cater to the mob? ethics play a big role. where do we draw the line? we already have rogaine and viagra. what's wrong with selling a new "geneically enhanced" bottle of asprin?
actually, im proud of what Debian is doing, they are the only vendor (that i know of) that has taken a stand on the issues that mean the most to them, namely, licensing.. as a big debian fan, i stand behind what they are doing (no, im not using KDE)
maybe we should implement a self-filtering system for slashdot and all its "haha...i rewl..first post!" or maybe its kinda like the +b in every irc room for the ip (*!*@*.ipt.aol.com)?:) seems to work quite well for irc..heh although i think this is kinda wierd to kill soo many users..kinda like telling Sprint that they cant make any more telemarketing calls (ya.. i get those all the time too:)
