A QA Engineer position or really anything in a QA department may be a good fit. As far as I know you can get pretty comparable salaries as a programmer as well.
The Seneca Nation of Indians in Western New York is already looking into building a hydro and/or wind plant on their land.

How often do these honest citizens of yours need to defend themselves anyway?
The second amendment does not grant the right to bear arms in order to defend themselves against criminals, it says that the right to bear arms is "necessary to the security of a free State," so this question is not relevant to the decision.
The Constitution does not guarantee individuals the right to bear arms. It says that a well-regulated militia can do so for the purpose of defending the state. That's just not true, the wording of the second amendment does grant "the people" the right to have guns. Your interpretation of "the people" in this amendment must be the same as "the people" in any other amendments, which is generally accepted to mean all US citizens.
For reference, here is the second amendment:
A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.
Add to the equation the fact that the dollar is dropping. Everything that comes from outside the US is going to go up in price. And right now, pretty much everything we buy comes from outside the US. Isn't this going to have the same effect of putting a tariff on the goods? In today's world if it's cheaper to get goods from outside the country, we should get them outside the country. That is how the economy works.
I don't have an answer to your question, but it might be helpful if we could get some examples of projects people think embody the idea of "good software." Then discuss principles these projects used which made them "good software."
Off Topic, but why does it seem like the daily WTF is coming up so often lately? I've seen it in probably about 80 percent of the stories I've read in the past week.
When I read(and re-read) this post it seemed like DrJimbo was saying more people in the US died from hunger in the course of their illogical response to 9/11. I just wanted to point out that this is not the case, this just refers to the fact that there are more people in the world who die from starvation everyday then who died in the WTC attack on 9/11.

You not finding the name important does not help the FS succeed. A userbase of more than 1 is necessary last I checked.
What do you think your buying when you buy a cd? Files on a physical medium are still just files.
